wasserfall Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Last weekend we (Dutch Flanker Display Team) visited the annual Flightsim weekend in the Aviodrome Lelystad. It was fun as always and very crowded at times:) our goal is to make as much people enthusiastic about Flightsimming, in particular DCS of course!! and let them Fly in our cockpits. We met some good friends and made some new ones. I-Jetpilot.com was there with some beautiful cockpits (A10C and Bf109) very nice people! thanks for the nice conversations. Groove also was at their booth, but we hardly had the time to have long conversations:) Oh, and thanks McMicha! Below a little impression, Cheers! McMicha Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Hello Henry, you're welcome. But the thanks go to the other two from the SDA team, Heinz (HJPuhlmann) for all programming works and Andreas (tomcat97) for the great graphics. You have a very nice Su-27 cockpit, with our instruments ;-) If you use the Arcaze cards and our other software D.A.C., then you can also bring the displays to light up, incl. the weapons panel and the RWR. 1.JaVA_Platypus Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Lots of flying by members of the public Sometimes it was almost too crowded. The DCS section of this event defenitivly took the most admiration from the crowd. Some DCS-unrelated stuff was found... http://www.simparts.de had an awesome stand! The complete A-10 cockpit was a great thing to behold! Some members of our group got interviewed for a local TV station. And finally, a pic with the greatest jet ever made! Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
tomcat97 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Very beautiful SU-27 pit!! Hello Henry, MANY THANKS for the Pics! It's REALY GREAT to see "my" Gauges in such a excellent simpit :-) Especially because i am a great Flanker-Fan. In this place MANY THX again to Heinz (HJPuhlmann) and Michael (McMicha). They did a lot of extrawork for the less popular FC3 aircraft. Our project was initially planed for the superior modules (e.g. A-10C and KA-50). The limited dataoutput of FC3 call for extra creativity of Michael (McMicha) and the large amount of gauges brought a big workload to Heinz (HJPuhlmann). Thanks my friends! Gruber Andreas SDA
Beerhunter Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Yes, we had a great weekend! I am also a member of the "Dutch Flanker Display Team". I think we have seen and spoken many people, all sharing the same hobby. I would like to thank the SDA-team for their work in creating fantastic software ;the Hawgtouch gauges and software for Arcaze boards connected with DCS. I recently noticed the thread of McMicha. I already had some Arcaze hardware, but i couldn't get it to work in DCS. But that is history now, and i can get all my Arcaze stuff to work:) Greetings Beerhunter [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]:drink:: A barrel roll is unloading the beer for a hangar party!:
HJPuhlmann Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Many thanks for all the greetings and for these great pictures. I hope you have fun with our software solutions. Boberro Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Hmm if I had known I would have visited. Is there some kind of list of the events in the NL? Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Cowboy10uk Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Dammit, missed the thing again. Been trying to get here for years, sadly my beautiful daughter then decided to be born on the very weekend it's on, so sadly the chances of getting there now are pretty much none existent. However thanks for the photos, it does look stunning, the museum is damn good as well. I wonder if I can convince the wife, to allow us to have a Dutch holiday next year. ;) Cowboy10uk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros. :pilotfly: Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans And a bloody awful Pilot

Joe Kurr Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Hmm if I had known I would have visited. Is there some kind of list of the events in the NL? The list is rather short at the moment. There were three flightsim events (FS Weekend, MilSim and LLTM), but now only the FS Weekend is left. The FS Weekend is always on the first full weekend of November. So next year it will most probably be on 5-6 November. Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
Derk Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I can't believe how i manage to miss this every year! Anyway, looks like you guys had a great time. Hope to be there for the next event. Thanks for the pictures. Gelukkig hebben we de foto's nog! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Devil 505 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Is it just me or was that a new aircraft in the DCS-Unrelated stuff photo. Looks like a civilian single engine prop with GPS. Possibly flying over the Normandy map or a new map. Could be way off but that is how I interpreted that photo and caption.

Joe Kurr Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 That's FSX ;) Haha, during the FS Weekend it was mostly the other way round :) Almost everyone asked us which addon for FSX we were using. When we told them we weren't using FSX but the free to play flightsim DCS World, people were surprised about the quality of a 'free' flightsim.
