shift611 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Is there ever going to be a WW2 map/module so we can fly these great DCS WW2 planes in instead of flying over modern armour and modern tower blocks???.:pilotfly:
Silver_Dragon Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 ED working on a WW2 map (from the RRG Studios old KickStarter), no date release yet http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135412 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126824 For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

dburne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 While I am having a blast with other modules, namely the KA-50 at the current time, my true love is WWII and I am really looking forward to the time period map for it. And the other planes of course. I was in on the original Kickstarter project and will be getting all the content from my contribution, right now I am just waiting and biding the time. Plenty to keep me busy in the meantime though. shift611 Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Thank for all your replies all, meanwhile I will twiddle my thumbs although I have a feeling I will be twiddling for quite some time.
IronJockel Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Yeah, I would expect we will hear more after Nevada and Straits of Hormuz are released. The last time we heard something was that a 3rd Party dev is working on the map. Can we learn who this is? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

airdoc Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Yes, I recall in one of Wag's videos saying that they will be posting stuff from Normandy in the future (before its release). So probably some time in the next 6 months would be a reasonable timeframe I guess. I 'm not sure we would have to wait for SOH to be released in order to get info on it. ED Team NineLine Posted November 23, 2015 ED Team Posted November 23, 2015 Once we get NTTR/2.0 out on our machines, I will work extra hard to try and get us some info on the WWII project, beyond the aircraft, which we really know more about than anything. I havent been pestering them too much, because I know how hard they are working on getting us 2.0 and NTTR. I'm not making any promises... but we will see. Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I will naturally like to have a ww2 map, but I'm perfectly well flying missions in the present Map, and even over NTTR ... What matters to me, in the very 1st place, is flight dynamics, systems modeling ( of the simulated aircraft ), then damage modeling, and the remaining usual items :-) Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
The_Pharoah Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I also can't wait for a proper WW2 map and set of scenarios however ED need to ensure that: 1. the a/c they design are all within the same time period (eg. don't suddenly decide to develop a 1940 Spit Mk I to go up against 1944 FWs and MEs); and 2. they include multi engine bombers (B25, A26, Beau, Mossie, etc). It can't be all for fighter jocks. AMD AM4 Ryzen7 3700X 3.6ghz/MSI AM4 ATX MAG X570 Tomahawk DDR4/32GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600mhz/1TB 970 Evo SSD/ASUS RTX2070 8gb Super

jester_ Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Yes it does. To be honest I'm more impressed with desert areas than Las Vegas. Yeah but nothing beats being able to fly down the strip and visually see in game, from the cockpit of my Messerschmitt, the exact street corner I was hurling my brains out when I got smashed hanging out with EDM act Zardonic at 4am. That was trippy and cool. Thanks for that experience Eagle Dynamics!
