dburne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Yep I don't think they have ever strayed on that plan since announcing earlier that NTTR and 2.0 would arrive late November. Really looking forward to this, hat's off to ED. In fact they are running a big sale apparently, going to have to pick up another module or two as well. Lord knows I have more now than I will probably ever get time to learn them all , but gotta support them! dburne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Just ordered the Huey. I am loving the KA-50, still spending a lot of time learning it, so the Huey will be a nice addition for my stable. Slipp Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Not much of a sale this time around. I'll wait for a bigger one and buy some modules then. 1
=Mac= Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I have everything except the Su-27 campaign (I don't speak or read Russian.) I will have everything ED can think up of offering us. Some, I have two of. Even the Russian aircraft, I have but can't fly. And the Huey? Well, I'm going to have to order another one because I'm wearing this one that I've had since day one, out. I'm probably the only one on Earth that flies the Mustang just to land and take off. I'm not good at it but I sure love doing it! Red Flag Campaign? You BETCHA! Whenever it gets here. (NTTR is already mine.) The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
cichlidfan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I am assuming that they mean released into Open Beta. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! kontiuka Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I am assuming that they mean released into Open Beta.Good enough for me but ya they should clarify if they haven't.
dburne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I am assuming that they mean released into Open Beta. Yeah I would think, but then also with 1.5 being Edge it would seem much of the open beta testing is already being done... msalama Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'll wait for a bigger one and buy some modules then. The big sales (i.e. -70% or so) are a thing of the past AFAIK; pretty sure someone at ED's said so a while ago. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Highfox Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 I am assuming that they mean released into Open Beta. Not sure! Reading that letter, I thought it would be the full release. Maybe some clarification would be nice.

Flogger23m Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Not much of a sale this time around. I'll wait for a bigger one and buy some modules then. I don't think they will do those anymore which is too bad. Never played a LOMAC/DCS campaign and wish I had bought the Su-27 campaign when it was 3 or so dollars. Certainly low enough in the event I never actually play it. $8? I want it but I will pass.
msalama Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I$8? I want it but I will pass. Man, U skint. 1 The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
dburne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Seriously guys, yeah those larger sales may be a thing of the past, but decent hi fidelity combat flight sims may eventually become a thing of the past as well, especially if they do not get supported. ED does an excellent job in providing the above for us to enjoy, I am going to support them in any way I can. King_Hrothgar Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I don't think high fidelity combat sims are in danger of going away. They went away briefly from 2005 to 2008 and then came back with a series of strong entries that continues to the present. In any case, the list of planes I'm willing to pay $30-60 for is a hell of a lot shorter than the list of planes I'm willing to pay $10-15 for. I suspect I'm in the invisible majority on that. Hopefully the bigger sales continue, even if less frequent. Back on topic, it's my understanding that DCS 2 will go into open beta when DCS 1.5 is moved to official release.
msalama Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 than the list of planes I'm willing to pay $10-15 for $15 for full DCS fidelity? Hah. Boyo, your hangar's gonna stay empty like my fridge then ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Avimimus Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Well, when the smaller discount compared to past sales is combined with the drop in the Canadian dollar (and the recovery of the American one). It means that most modules are actually closer to twice the price they once were. I think 14.99 is fairly reasonable myself (if one is willing to wait 24 months after release!).
tintifaxl Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Let's see: Mig-15 = 12.49 FW-190 = 14.99 F-86 = 14.99 Black Shark 2 = 15.99 All of these I wouldn't have bought without the heavy discount as the stick time I give those planes doesn't warrant a higher cost. I guess there won't be any more of those coming in the near future, though. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

I guess there won't be any more of those coming in the near future, though. Same here. I'd say sometimes it's better to sell at a higher discount, than not to sell at all. But I'm sure ED will compare previous sale figures with current ones and figure out their own compromise. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
ebabil Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 maybe its better . we can only buy the modules we want desperately and get pro on it. otherwise peaople start to make a collection of modules and don't play with them. btw if 2.0 will come within 10 days, when we will get 1.5 stabnle or we will just skip it?
