Let's enjoy our good night's sleep while we can, because we may suffer some serious sleep deprivation afterwards. :D

the good point about 29th release is that it's just start of weekend here :) the whole squad is hyped to see me flying and crashing it :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:

And I booked 2 weeks off starting the 28th...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Good find BT.

Bit odd they (ED) didnt include a similar statement in last weeks newsletter. There may be folk who receive the newsletter but dont visit the forums or go around digging for release info on the internet, and may miss the pre release discount not realising its actually releasing next Wednesday!

Not a complaint......just an observation. :music_whistling:

Just go a few newsletters back, and you'll find:

Seeing that the 29th is the last DCS release day (=wednesday or friday) in November, people who missed the pre-sale discount despite receiving the newsletter have no one to blame but themselves...

Thanks, one thing that I found interesting was that Razbam i.e. Zeus said that the cannot and will not comment on the release as it's down to ED, the Razbam announced it and ED then did so a week a few days later, odd I thought but maybe ED didn't want it to overshadow the Yak and let Razbam announce it, rightfully so as they put the work in.

No mistery. ED authorized us to post the release date.

I didn't take off but we are starting some new work and I should not be so busy. I guess I can skip the gym too for a day or two.

1.5.8 and 2.2.0. Those were the versions where the AV-8B NA was developed the last four months.

1.5.8 == 2.2.0 except for the maps. I should say that the inner workings of 1.5.8 and 2.2.0 are the same. Unfortunately maps drive the graphics engine so I'm not sure if the graphics are the same or not.

Not sure they will release it on both versions simultaneously tho...hope I'm wrong!

Unlikely. A release, even if it is an update, is a major tasking so only one can be done at a time.
