airdoc Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 great news. Happy to see more 3rd parties doing ww2 The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good bowel movement. The night carrier landing is one of the few opportunities in life to experience all three at the same time.
gavagai Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 More WW2 is welcome, but wouldn't it be nice if there were a focus on a single WW2 theater? airdoc Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I agree with you gavagai, but I don't mind PTO. It's a good start, less demanding than ETO-MTO and it will give us carrier ops. At least the Stuka can fit to any time period in ETO. With a Ju-88 and a Heinkel, axis bomber set is essentially complete (ok, wishful thinking here, but it's Christmas). The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good bowel movement. The night carrier landing is one of the few opportunities in life to experience all three at the same time.
BaconSarnie Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Finally a WW2 bird I am interested in. gavagai Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 At least the Stuka can fit to any time period in ETO. I thought the Ju-87 was withdrawn from France after the BoB. Sorry for OT. Like I said, more WW2 is always welcome. Barrett_g Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I wonder if more 3rd party developers will transition to WW2 aircraft? It seems like a no-brainer to me! In the time it takes you to develop one "current-gen" aircraft with missile detectors, radar, guesstimated avionics (classified obstacles), etc.... A team could have pumped out 3 or 4 WWII models. The systems are just so much more simple. This makes WWII aircraft more lucritive, and the popular ones will start getting snatched up quickly!
Solty Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) Stuka was a childhood favourite. I'd buy it. You liked to bomb civilian convoys as a child? :P To me Stuka is the embodyment of Blitzkrieg. Very accurate, numerous, cheap, with lots of bombs for such a small airframe with FEAR FACTOR beeing one of the highest due to the early versions having terrifying horn. Its sound must have been traumatizing to the people of early 20th century. Amazing for 1939-1940 period. Got old pretty quick... but was still powerful, just slow and easy to kill for the fighters and light flack. Very cool addition. They were used almost till the end of the war. :3 Edited December 24, 2015 by Solty [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies.
