I added mipmaps levels (6) to the most important cockpit textures (and the default livery bottom texture).

It looks much better on my screen with the default zoom (no more aliasing artifacts).

Feel free to try the textures if you want. >>> M-2000C cockpit textures - mipmaps quickfix <<<

It will replace some of the current textures, so make sure to backup the whole folder to be safe.

Just extract the archive in that folder:

As far as I am concerned, I have no real issue with the current visuals of the plane (other than landing/taxi lights not really working properly). Razbam has a lot of work to do still on important functionality issues (bugs and system implementation) so I think it is pretty fair to say that the cockpit mesh and textures can wait for the a while.

There is a thing called subtle. Dark, inconspicuous. That is the tone... I think you have not seen inside real Fw-190. It is supposed to be this way. Turn on the lights if you want to see colors. I think its nice.

Thank you for quick fix because, for me looks much better in mipmap texture because no shimmering effect arises !! I do not know why that is not made equal in mipmap!

thanks for these! i'll give them a try now... while id like to see the texture res a bit higher in cockpit, overall it looks great and i think razbam have done a great job! I do agree some parts seem too dark though - particularly around the radios - its really hard to see the numbers for example

I'm fine with the cockpit textures. Only the box direct under the HUD looks to cheap, the rest looks very nice.

Mig 21 should not be taken as a reference IMHO.

It might be beautiful and really detailed, but it's a disaster in terms of optimisation.

Yeah, agreed. That Mig-21 pit is way overdone in my opinion, and the low fps while inside the cockpit is proof of it.

About the Mirage cockpit - what I don't like is the clipping into the center console, beneath the HUD, that occurs when moving my head around using TrackIR, as well as the somewhat jerky animation of the engine RPM numbers. I'm sure that this will improve over time. :)

I also had some clipping until I turned the axis limits on in the TIR software. All good now if you haven't done so, you might wanna try it.

I think the textures on the instruments and panels are rather weak.

lucky that you've not the Hawk ;-)

that one from M2000 is quite good.

The current hud is not horrible, but i think what i pointed out does not requier much work... some polygons agustment a little material and texture opacity tweaks for the 3D artist, some adjustment by Zeus for the yellow field... and it will be "niquel".

Since we see it all the time, i think the hud deserves some tweaks and enhancement. Here is all what i think is a problem:

Your mode makes the hud less darker, and that's is good.. but that's was not good enough (

) for me so i tweaked and tweaked the texture again to make it in my own flavour... And NOW my hud is cool enough for me :D ( what people think about that ?) :

There is nothing wrong with the cockpit, other than the unclickable buttons which is coming when the relevant systems are introduced, and the various sound bugs, for which fixes are also incoming.

Everything else is a matter of taste and preference, and asking the developers to change it to something "better" (whatever that is) is really entitled.

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

IMO it is nice. Sure there is room for improvement, but completing the system and functions should be priority and at the geometry of the HUD. The textures can be tweaked at the end.

The MiG21Bis Cockpit is something special and not the standard. The M2000 cocpit is comparable to the A-10C or L-39C, but with room for improvments later on, which should not hurt anybody and is good to point out. :)

For me the MiG-21 is the new standard. And I am absolutely convinced that we will soon see Viggen and F-14 cockpits to at least the same high standard. Why should I expect less from RAZBAM than from LNS?
