I am perfectly calm.

But even if I try hard, I just can not explain myself why even a free

plane like the SU-25T lights perfectly the runway, and the Mirage

does not.

Lights are fixed internally. They will be available in the next update.

It's almost like the Su-25T is an older, polished aircraft managed by Eagle Dynamics, and the M-2000C is an incomplete beta release by a third party...

They are fixed, they changed the bulbs (digitally at least, lol), time to move on.

Similar issue, ED Moved from exporting Connectors for light position to Placing and Configuring Actual Light Sources in 3DS before exporting.

 

The Su27 EDM didnt have the light sources placed at first.

 

Spotlights and omni lights arent configured in the LUA anymore (tho one could use the legacy method for AI/SFM).

 

Omni Lights and Spotlights are placed, oriented, Animated and configured within 3DS Max, they are no longer linked to Helper Point Connectors.

 

Its alot of technical hoohaa, that likely came with the move to DX11, as the first external model I saw the new light sources on was the L39.

Speaking of lights, the anti-collision, formation and navigation switches are still modeled as 2-position (OFF, BRIGHT) when I think they're supposed to be 3-position (OFF, DIM, BRIGHT)

 

And Form & Nav lights doesn't work from keyboard (the same default key RCtlr+L).

 

btw. nice to see Taxi Light! Not too bright only? ; )

Has anyone encountered flickering taxi/landing lights? I just tried the M2000 in the most recent 1.5.3 OB release and they flicker whenever I turn them on.

Its a Known bug. read through this thread,, its fixed in next patch.

From what I can tell, the spotlight rendering in 2.0 is different than 1.5 at the moment.

 

Landing/Taxi Lights dont have aliasing in 1.5

Have discovered another bug, though.

Landing, anti collision, formation, cockpit lights

work with the keyboard assigment "toggle".

Navigation lights DO NOT. There you have to assign a different keystroke for on or off.
