Igor4U Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Black Tomcat with Bunny Tail I'm guessing that the (new & improved) Politically Correct US Navy doesn't sport this paint scheme anymore.
Fracture Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 If I had to pick just one (tough choice), it would have to be VF-84. Beyond that it's like Women, I can find something to love about each of them, lol. :)
captain_dalan Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Just one? I'll be hard pressed as well....... the high visibility VF-1, but just barely. I even have a white T-shirt with the Wolf Pack insignia. But the VF-143 (HV again) comes as a very close 2nd. And VF-84 and VF-213 )all in their late 70's early 80's scheme follow just behind. Anti glare that finishes before the radome is my thing i guess. Or the white polished look of the 213's in the 80's, without the extended blue streak. Modules: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Harrier AV-8B NA, F-5, AJS-37 Viggen, F-14B, F-14A, Combined Arms, F/A-18C, F-16C, MiG-19P, F-86, MiG-15, FW-190A, Spitfire Mk IX, UH-1 Huey, Su-25, P-51PD, Caucasus map, Nevada map, Persian Gulf map, Marianas map, Syria Map, Super Carrier, Sinai map, Mosquito, P-51, AH-64 Apache
IceFire Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 (edited) Favorite one is the one I fly (virtually that is) Been C.O. of VF-213 since VNAO since back in LOMAC and FC1-2 I've already got my Air Wing up and running for when the cat comes out >B) Cant wait. Virtual Carrier Air Wing Eleven Yes I know VF-213 was assigned to Wing 8 but Wing 8 is taken by an FSX group and its leader which I highly respect. Ron "Pop" Folse whom was my teacher in lock on in VNAO. But he was also in charge of NAS Pensacola training squadron. I went and visited him a few years ago and got a guided tour. One of the highlights of my life. That being said my research shows that VF-213 was assigned to CVW-11 at some point so, it works out Edited May 1, 2016 by IceFire [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Matt "IceFire" Schuette Commander In Chief United States Atlantic Command Virtual Carrier Air Wing Eleven
MicroShket Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Can't read all 8 pages. But I think that we need for livery of F-14's (AC202 and AC207) from VF-32, which participated in Gulf of Sidra incident in 1989th. And for early F-14A something like VF-33 livery: Спойлер ASRock X570, Ryzen 9 3900X, Kingston HyperX 64GB 3200 MHz, XFX RX6900XT MERC 319 16GB, SSD for DCS - Patriot P210 2048GB, HP Reverb G2. WINWING Orion 2 throttle, VPC Rotor Plus TCS + Hawk-60 grip, VPC WarBRD + MongoosT-50CM2/V.F.X (F-14) grips. Logitech G940 pedals
Belgeode Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I love that Starfighters livery! Not a squadron you hear too much about but they always looked kickarse! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] YouTube ~ Twitch
punk Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I have never understood these types of questions, wouldn't it be better to ask which one is your least favorite? Tomcats are like the ladies, not any single one can be "the" purrtiyust... :) Punk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Hummingbird Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 I have never understood these types of questions, wouldn't it be better to ask which one is your least favorite? Tomcats are like the ladies, not any single one can be "the" purrtiyust... :) Hehe only difference is that there are many more ladies out there than there are F-14 liveries, and as you know, and as women like to be told, they're all unique ;) :D

Kludo Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 VF-31, VF-32, and VF-111. Although I was in VF-32 it never was a show and tell paint scheme but I still have a place for it in my heart. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
Kludo Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 My vote goes to the VF-2 Bounty Hunters of course! Can't wait to fly it in DCS! All Hail the Booty Hunters! ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
CheckGear Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 VF-111, VF-21 and VF-154 circa 1986 - 1990, and VF-21 and VF-154 again, circa 1993 - 1996.

CheckGear Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 VF-25. "Fist of the Fleet" Who never, ever, operated the Tomcat, they operated the F/A-18. In Top Gun, they did. It was LT Thomas "Iceman" Kazanski and LTJG Ronald "Slider" Kerner's squadron.
BlackLion213 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) VF-111, VF-21 and VF-154 circa 1986 - 1990 Yes please. :) Especially since we will likely be able to operate from USS Independence. VF-103, VF-31 and VF-213. All great choices! I also really like VF-31's sister squadron VF-11, especially from the Forrestal era of the 1980s-1990 (also coming with the LNS Tomcat). I see a mobile IFLOLS at the bottom of the pic, I think this is a little FCLP - I really hope we can do that as well! -Nick PS - VF-25. CheckGear Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I'm sorry if I'm behind the times, but will the module feature ALL Tomcat squadrons?
