MiG-29K

So in 2011 we got the Warthog. In 2016(?) we will get a Hornet. In 2020-22 one might predict a Russian full fidelity model. If an Eastern module was in development, it seems possible it would be a MiG-29, and perhaps the K model.

 

We know that ED is pushing for carrier operations to be a big part of DCS going forward. Along with the Nimitz, which supports their Hornet module, Kuznetsov is also getting a similar treatment. In addition, a MiG-29K would be a great 'sister' module to the Hornet Charlie, as the two are comparable. We also know that the MiG-29 is getting an external makeover (not sure if the K model is included in that).

 

Of course this is just speculation, but it would be an exciting inclusion. Do you think it's a possibility?

+1 though I doubt ED will be able to obtain the documentation needed to make a full fidelity module. Since the K is A-A, A-G, and SEAD capable it would balance the F/A-18C nicely. Would definitely be a day one purchase for me!

I'd be happy with a FC version like we had in Flanker 2.5!

I think it's more likely we'd get a Mig-29A/B, maybe an SE or a G as a full module.

 

Mostly because I think the data for the export versions might be easier for ED or a third party to obtain.

I'm all for it, I do remember someone had made it for LOMAC, and then made I think a much more detailed version of it on FC2. I'm certainly all for it

Would I like it? Hell yes!

 

Is it happening? Think about it for a second, it is just barely entering service with Indian and Russian navies... realisticaly, I just don't see it happening in DCS.
