FYI All,

De-activate your modules prior to this update or you will lose activations or have to go through the tedious process referenced in the above sticky concerning Windows 10 activation.

Process described here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/564/#1780273

Question to ED: Why do some modules apparently have no DRM issues with the Win10 Build 1607 update and others detect it as a significant change? Can this not be standardized amongst all modules?

Thanks.... I was little worried about this before I re-activated again the modules after new install.

I so hope ED would reject the DRM license key system and just make it so that it would check the ED account profile for license exiting and then just mark the computer to the ED account and allow from there the 5-10 computers being registered. And from ED account user would need to go and remove the registered computers.

The 10 activation + 10 deactivation is just such a fear causer for many, even when it isn't even a easily reached in normal use (1 de-activation + activation in every month would give something around 2.5 years or so).

Windows 10 Anniversary Update changes A LOT of Sub Level Drivers, thus causing Some hardware Profile Changes,

It's not simply a Windows Update/Service Pack, it's an entirely updated and revamped build w. Linux Integration, among other things that change how the HAL Works.

MiG-21 especially would have a problem with this, as it has a tighter DRM Control than other modules

(I can trigger a hardware license fail by simply unplugging a specific USB Device.)

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

I didn't deactivate so I'll have to do the whole lot.

No issues at all on my side.

Anyway Mig21 should increase that license limit to 30... just saying!
