dude, this post is in sliverdargon's unofficial news collection.

the bad news from chizh's word, we have no carrier and f-18 in this year...

the good one is we can use warthog to blew up tiger at normandy at 2016(maybe?).

cheers.

Q: As I understand, there will be no F/A-18 this year?

A: No, there's still work for at least a year.

Q: And a plan for the DCS 2.5 release in 2016?

A: No, not this year. There will be a big Nevada update and early access for Normandy.

Q: I remember last year developers saying the 2016 will be the "year of aircraft carriers". We're almost in November, so anything changed about that?

A: Yes, changed. Carriers are postponed.

<sarcasm>ED has learned its lessons over the years with their announcements but there´s still one goal to achieve... so next time they should rather say that Module X is expected to be available for Beta release someday in this decade </sarcasm>

:D:D

But to be honest...the acvtual announcements were made via Newsletters so why are those clarifications, like the ones above, available in the russian Forums only?

So..... Alright i didn't know this.

Our view and hope is changing now too the 3rd party developers to zoom in.

Well i hope they going straight away. I saved some money for the finals of the year. So Leatherneck and Razbam go for it. The hypetrain is evolving to a moneytrain. :D:pilotfly:

They aren't only available in the Russian forum, we are reading and talking about them right here.

did you followed the urls provided in the post above? they all are leading to russian subforums and we can talk about them here now because someone has translated those parts and thus made them available for us...but the devs havent told us directly, they mentioned it somewhere deep hidden in the forums because someone else asked. Is it too much expected to officially know when scheduled timeframes can not be hold? Its complicated software so delays are actually common but why wont they tell us?

Another possibility is because those "posts" have just been posts is that we still can have hope. ED knows that we are scanning the russian forums for hidden Infornation.. so why should they risk leaking Information which are not yet officualky announced? That doesnt even make sense to me...

Maybe we must massive use google translate to scan the russians. Acting like a spy to track and trace valuable info!;)

Down in the russian underground where are secrets hidden.:D

And for the people, who like to say that new updates or even module releases only happen on fridays: No, they don't! At least not always :D

MP. Lobby. The task column was replaced with an airfield column.

Yes, I have been following the discussion all week. The posts by Chizh took all of an hour or so to be translated and posted here so saying they are "only available on the Russian forum" is factually incorrect, hence the last 10 pages of discussion in this thread.

Oh look, an update and that's a pretty long change log full of goodies. I can't decide if I want to check out the Hawks or F-5E changes first...

It's nice to see so much progress after the recent swarm of pessimism towards ED :D

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
