Not possible to minimize game/borderless fullscreen

So I want to go to my task bar while running DCS, but this just prooved impossible... please fix it.

take it out of Fullscreen exclusive mode.

I did, but still, now when I press Alt+Tab (and keep holding it) usually my task bar pops up, but it is not anymore since last DCS patch (or Win 10 anniversary? Pls don't tell me Microsoft fckd up... o_O ) and also when I click on my 2nd screen the task bar won't pop up anymore... The ONLY way it currently works is when I have another windows (firefox as example) on my 1st screen, behind DCS, THEN on Alt+Tab I get to Firefox and only THEN I get task bar... This all used to be so much better some weeks ago... :P (pls check if it can be fixed by DCS or if it really is Win 10 issue)

if you have 2 screens.

alt tab out of dcs, click on 2nd screen, chrome, anything will do...

press windows key on keyboard.

ALT+TAB is not a Minimize Command, it's a Shift Focus Command, if only one Window is open (IE DCS), It doesnt have anything to Shift Focus too.

 

WinKey + Down Arrow is the Minimize Command.

Will try Winkey+down, but just fyi, there always is (or was in Win 7 at least) the "desktop" window... (so even if 1 app open, that app would minimize upon switching to "desktop"...)

Ok just tested, there is not a SINGLE way currently to get into windowed mode in DCS, so the ONLY way is if I drag a window in front of DCS, to my 1st screen, but even when there is a window on my 2nd screen, still switching to that window (Firefox) will not call task bar on 1st screen when only DCS on 1st screen... Before the past patches this was still working... and before Win 10 anniversary... (So in wonder if ED can fix it by enabling DCS windowed mode or if Microsoft fckd it up... :P )

Oh ok sry for not being clear enough!!! What I EXACTLY mean is that when there is NO other window on the 1st screen, ONLY DCS, and ALL other windows (programs) on 2nd screen, then some weeks ago it would still behave the following: Pressing alt tab ONCE and keeping holding "alt" will already open the task bar below DCS! Which it now won't anymore... That is the strange problem I noticed.

 

I did borderless window, but it doesn't change a thing (except long black screen when Alt tabbing again)

LOL I have 3 monitors that I use on my gaming rig and never thought to devote one to purely look at cats on the net... Interesting idea!

Needs looking into some more, as it seems to work for some and not others, however it is pretty low on the list at the moment.

I've suddenly encountered this problem in Windows 10, within the last week or so. Before then it was fine and I always had the taskbar when I alt+tabbed out of DCS. Now, when I switch to another window, DCS World still covers taskbar. If I press the windows key it comes up, but then clicking on the other window makes the taskbar go back behind DCSW.

 

Nothing has really changed on my system other than installing the W10 creators update and graphics drivers - but I don't know if either of these align with the timeframe. I also switched to the beta version, though I'm pretty sure it was still behaving this way prior.

As a bit of a rough guess, check into the W10 game DVR function that was sneakily installed and activated last week sometime by M$. Apparently it is playing havoc with full screen gaming etc and using a lot of resources. You can disable it and the game mode bar in W10 settings. Just a thought.

I have the EXACT same on my machine since I installed Win10 Fall Creator's Update.

 

No way to launch an App. You can Alt-Tab cycle between already open Apps but there is no way to get to the Quick Launch Bar or Desktop to launch anything :(

 

It's not a deal breaker but very uncomfortable as you need to exit DCS and then open what you forgot 1st place:doh:

 

I had/have this with Nv 388.00 388.10beta and 388.13
