_schepper_ Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Yeah it seems the AoA is bugged from the Harrier... At least what DCS reports, thus I think it might be an early access thing... Maybe I'll implement a workaround... If you have some spare time, you could check if the AoA shown in the dcs debug view in SSA and the AoA displayed in the Harrier/F2 view are similar or not...Oke i will check, but work has stopt me from flying :) ---------------------------------------------------------- i7 2600K oc 4.7g / asus gtx 1080 gaming x+ / 16gig ram / ssd 500gig / oculus rift / jetseat se / saitek rudder ((next upgrade)mfg crosswind) / logitech warthog hotas + 20cm extention

Nevertheless, since almost all computer have more then one processor it's not a big issue... Yea, I just had that happen to me. Been flying Harrier lately, and since its not supported in the stable version of Simshaker (1.0.3.2), I havent been running it. But tonight I was, and it was the first time I really flew/explored DCS 2.2, and was trying to figure out what was giving me these performance hits (flew the Harrier again). Then in the end here, I looked at task manager and could see my cpu was working hard, and 25% of that came from Simshaker. When I then took a module thats supported by Simshaker, the cpu usage dropped to 2-3% for Simshaker. So its like when its sitting there listening for a module with DCS running, the cpu hit goes waaay up. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
f4l0 Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 So its like when its sitting there listening for a module with DCS running, the cpu hit goes waaay up. Exactly, once SSA detects that DCS is running it waits (high load) for incoming data... I might add some checks to reduce the load there but nevertheless, its waiting... f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)
Knock-Knock Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Regarding the G-effect coming and going. Its not only the Harrier. I just had happen with the Mirage in Simshaker 1.0.3.2 stable / DCS 2.2. Didnt really look for a pattern, if it was related to airspeed. I was über busy dodging SA-15's, but picked it up cause I was really yanking and banking, and was right up at 9G - screen starting to fade black, and nothing came from the seat. Then after some more maneuvers, it was back again. Ill try and pay more attention and see if I can find a solid way to reproduce in the Mirage aswell. f4l0 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 Thanks for the feedback. I got my new computer running but didn't find the time to setup my dev environment. f4l0 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) The latest stable 1.0.1.38 comes with support for the Harrier... Changelog for the last versions: Version 1.0.1.38 – stable release - Includes all previous beta releases Version 1.0.1.37 – beta release - Ground bump effect slowed down a bit - Jet engine rpm effect reduced by 25% for Jetseat Version 1.0.1.36 – beta release - DCS Harrier effects adjusted Version 1.0.1.35 – beta release - DCS Harrier (basic) hover effect added ← might change in future - DCS Harrier refuel boom effect - GroundBump effect now reads wheel/tire rotation to identify if moving. This unfortunately conflicts with wheel blocking/skid effect. Version 1.0.1.34 – beta release - DCS Harrier RPM effect added - DCS Harrier belly on ground effect adjusted Version 1.0.1.33 – beta release - DCS Harrier added - TailWheel/Gear internally added – please test for issues with touchdown The setup file can be found here: http://dsteam.azurewebsites.net/SSA/release/publish.htm Edited December 13, 2017 by f4l0 f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)

rrohde Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Just another observation here - when using the stable (or the beta) SimShaker, there's no feedback from the DCS Fw-190 MGs in the jet seat; however, the cannons feel right. In comparison, the MGs for the Bf-109 and the cannons are perfectly fine. Could it be that the Fw-190 MGs are are not added to SimShaker?
