I've had this issue for quite a while now. When I'm not playing DCS and SS is running in the tray, I get excessive CPU usage. If I shut down SS the CPU usage drops to basically zero immediately.

Interesting. I never saw/hear something like this. Does this always happens?

Seems to happen about half the time after exiting DCS.

This is my first post because it's the first time I felt like I had something to contribute.

I just received my Jetseat 908 two days ago. I want to say something about it that might be productive to any who might be on the fence.

Without getting into too much detail - it's magic. :)

I only started flying DCS a few months ago but have been simming for ever, and have been flying formation (for real) since 1991.

Apart from VR, this is 'THE' MUST HAVE tool.

Recently, I've been flying with a virtual airshow team and tonight, at practice, I was able to fly with the team with the JetSeat for the first time. Apart from the "very coolness" of things like gear up/down ect.. THE "G" EFFECT is by far the most useful thing I could have ever imagined.

Of course it doesn't "feel like pulling G's" but it does give me 'A' linear feeling when I'm pulling G's. The brain quickly adjusts and after a few formation loops, I was able to 'feel' exactly how many G's I was pulling / over pulling / under pulling, and when my AOA was too high, too low, and to anything else that was right or wrong.

I flew with the team for about 4 hours tonight with the seat working but then had a software crash. Once that happened, I realized how much I have already come to rely on the tactile impulse of the seat. It allowed me to "STAY IN AND FLY PAINT" in vertical maneuvers all night. Once the Seat went silent, so did my position skill. WOW... Didn't expect that.

All night long, I was debriefing lead saying, "man, I'm having no trouble staying right in all the vertical maneuvers tonight, feels real good!" The very last flight of the night, when the seat software crashed (in conjunction with an AO server reset, an overheated CPU etc) I flew our routine without it and the sim felt like I was watching a video instead of being in it.

I honestly thought this seat would be an interesting novelty but, if you're a formation pilot, you MUST GET A HOLD OF ONE OF THESE.

Thank you to the developers for creating a tool like this. It might not feel like pulling true G's but it IS the missing link.

Thank you for your kind words! Such words keep me working on this in my free time...

Just to let you know. The gunpods on the Viggen dont seem to have any vibration.

Dont know if there has been a new update or something but the jetseat is doing that thing again were it crashes if I fly my AC into the ground. Was just playing 2.0 with no problems changed to 1.5.6 and boom seat crashes every time I crash again!

Yeah it happens on both modules, it dosent seem to happen as frequently as before but if you fly your jet into the ground about 3 times it always seems to happen on the third time of doing so! Bigger the crash I think the more likely it will happen!

So it wont be fixed for a week?

Just wondering, simshakers for falcon and DCS dosent have this problem but it also doesent seem to support the Viggen, will there be any plans to update the older software so it can support the Viggen?

Its fixed but not in the stable version. I will not publish a new stable until the beta tester had time to check if anything else crashes. We are all doing this for free in out limited spare time, thus one can not expect a 24h/7 support...

However, as the first post in this thread says, SSA is the successor of the old SimShaker for DCS and Falcon. The old version will never see an update...

Please be patient, up to now I didn't get any bad feedback thus I assume we will release a new version this weekend...

I have one question.I can't get "Turbulence" force.I tried to switch of all other forces, tried it with heavy weather conditions, tried it to combine with stall forces etc.etc.No way...Is it normal?I tried it in dcs with F15 and Su-33. And the other thing, when g-force efects are on I can't feel the road bumbs efeects. When i switch off g effects road bumps function again.I think some forces linked with other but I don't know the relationship off forces maybe thats why I can't get turbulence.

Hi Baris,

Did you test the bump/g-force effect only for the F15 and Su33?

I'll have a look at this tonight...

Hi again,

After some testing with F-15;Su-33 and SU-27 in Dcs 1.5 and 2.0

1-Ground Roll has no effect

2-Ground Bumps without Wheel Blocking working well

3-Ground Bumps + Wheel Blocking = I can't feel really ground bumps with Wheel Blocking.I reduced the force of WB to 20 and put bumps effect to 100 because it's masking the ground bumps effect

4-Turbulence = No way to get turbulence effect.I'd really like to get this effect because for me turbulence give you the feeling of flying otherwise I feel like flying going on carpet.I like turbulence and bad weather :)

5-Speed brake = No way to get Speed brake Shudders effect

I don't know the function of wheel blocking but it seems to be acting like Ground Roll effect.

I don't criticize the work you've done pls don't get me wrong, I use simshaker aviator no matter what because it's awesome and thank you again.I am just trying to give a feedback for your product :)

Is there a trick to get SSA to work with DCS 2.0 alpha? I see that I have the lua files and the lines of code at the bottom of my export.lua in my Users DCS.openalpha Scripts folder. But I get no shaking data sent to SSA. But it does shake if I click the test button. So, I think the game is not sending any data..

For some reason I was remembering an option to turn on exports in the DCS settings. But I don't see it, so I may be mistaken..

This can be configured in the server settings if you are hosting a multiplayer session.
