I have 2 question.

If i create an air defence with elicopter at what distance i can put that from my farp? Which is the rule?

 

If i put air defence after the 3 hours and the server restart they stay there?

 

If i transport a mortar group or antitank after the server restart those are lives?

Yes. Not sure about EWRs and JTACS. I think only SA6s and manpads are saved.

 

If i transport a mortar group or antitank after the server restart those are lives?

 

Not sure of the question here. If you place troops down and server restarts, your troops will be gone.

Well, the server just crashed with about 40people on it just after a restart.

Also others reported pretty heavy lag before the restart. Might be caused by the increased unit count? People report SA6 and SA11 on samsites. Might be a bit too much? :/

Yeah. Havnt there been a lot of units added to the server? There used to be a very limited number of AI that were on the map at all of the locations. Now, it seems things are constantly being added. Looking at locations, if you include buildings (I dont know if they are better for server load or not), unit count does not seem to have changed much.

 

I also see DL was readdedl. Lag was just as bad over the past couple of days with it disabled as it has been with it on so Im not so sure if that is the reason for the lag.

On another note, what about disabling some of the airfields like soganlog, vaziani, nelcheck, some of the northwest.

 

I'm sure I butchered those names. I really don't think we need all these airfields. Limit the number and concentrate the fight further. Just getting rid of a couple on both sides would drastically decrease the unit count.

Sogalug isn't a base any more, but Vaziani is certainly possible.

 

My guess would be Vaziani, Nalchik, Anapa and Krasno-C. Those should reduce the unit count.

I think this would really help as well. That would be alot of saved units. The mission was running good when we only had a few bases.

Better to keep Anapa and remove something else. The map is already small as it is, removing the NorthWestern most base would be a waste :D

 

Take out Krymsk and Nalchik for Red And Tbilisi (or Vaziani) and Kobuleti for Blue.

 

Get some space in there between bases, while reducing the unit count.

We had a blue guy (with badly chosen nick) sitting on a red side GCI slot last night using slot as position intel. That's why last night blue side got up to Gudauta and they knew exact intel. At the end of blue mission this guy just disconnected. I suppose this guy has multiple profiles and registering one on blue and other on red. Knowing that (this guy) and geting along with that (the whole team) is playing the least in a manner of fair-play game and its sucess is not valid sucess of any kind.

 

Dear Ciribob, either setup 'aproval scenario' for GCI slots or ban them completly. I vote for GCI ban.

Not a clue what guy you're talking about, But I just assume you got a screenshot for the rest of the class to share?

 

The one and only reason we pushed so far back yesterday, is that we had enough teamplayers online to push. (RvE can do the same when they are on a team). In this case, a bunch of Reapers and Matko (and some others). Because most of the time blue is populated with free for all Batumi flyers doing formation laps in northern Turkey.

 

There was no one feeding us sneaky intel from gci... Not to me (I dropped the troops myself at 2 airfields, 1 farp and 3 Sam sites, while Reaper 21 was shacking everything in his A-10.. without us having a mole inserted into red. Most of our sorties are on youtube after after flight, so I dare you to find evidence of your accusation.

 

And I am all for a global GCI ban, but then no more private GCI. e.g. Datalink for red either.. Mr Redfor.

Id go for a removal of GCI as well. NOt because of what Jack said, but because of the ability for GCI to see foxed missiles and warn players. I think both teams would be just fine with an AI AWACS or something of the like. It also forces the pilots to be much more aware of their surroundings and understand how to do rejoins and keep track of their wingmen instead of relying on GCI to vector them everywhere.

 

Id also be interested to see if GCI has any impact on lag at all. Probably not, but all of this lag lately has me curious about anything and everything.

I am against a removal of forward observer at all costs.

 

Its a very vital tool for organising a push, its is important to have a picture of what of your own units are alive, and for BRA calls the AI is a little wanky and at times pretty useless. Also helos cant call AWACS for bra or picture calls.

 

The spotting of missiles is pretty meh but a small cost imho. Good players dont need it, and bad players are still not going to win because GCI calls a missile.

We can also just try to shift to not calling a2a missile launches as a community guideline.

 

The problem of using GCI of the enemy team has appeared a few times but we should be able to figure out if someone is doing it and then report that to admin, they can check if its actually the same person.

I know how heated speculation on explotation of enemy Team GCI got on the last rounds once one side started loosing. There is afaik only 1 or 2 cases where it actually was the same guy. I do not think that would justify removing a major feature either.

You know you can change what messages are read to you. You can set it so it's only messages to you and your calls to him. Use right shift+m to cycle through the options.
