Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)

Yep sorry should have added that but evwn without it wants to lean so i am waiting for the Pro, it cants forward about 10 degrees.

Just keep in mind that the center is not based on the grip's position, but the center of the cam. So when you calibrate correctly, even with a leaning grip, the center will always return to dead center since the MaRS sensor "looks" at the cam's center - wherever that may be in relation to the grip. This "cam loading" is nicely compensated for in the software.

How long would take the delivery, if someone from Canada ( Montreal ) would order it ?

Is there a button, or something else ?

@Lenux: If items are in stock at VKB HQ they drop ship usually within 7 business days after processing the order.

That what you highlighted there is indeed that "pinky switch" that was moved up and to the left a bit due the internal design of the grip. It's now more of a middle finger button, but hey... at least we got that extra button.

Is the delay for european market until january confirmed or is that just a precaution ?

Until now I think vkb said global release with slight delay in europe. Which sounded like a few weeks.

january 2018 sounds more like 10 weeks + delay.

I for sure was happy to hear this time the difference between american and european market wasnt going to be as big, but it would be nice to have a confirmation on what will most likely hold up to be true. :)

Definitely looking forward to it.

Well, pre-ordering doesn't mean the MCG will ship today or tomorrow. VKB HQ estimated the shipping date for the North American orders around November 1 - which could still slip a little if there's any unforeseen circumstances.

Interesting, what kind of cam and springs are you running? I was thinking about getting the gunfighter and use the wh grip before eventualy buying the new grip.
Ok I need to be precise here, the Warthog stick top was great for fixed wing flying with the right combo of springs with the VKB gymbal , far superior to the TM gymbal. I just could not find a Helo combo that worked for me with the heavy warthog sticktop, you may find some setting that works for you. The gunfighter gymbal is great piece of kit and far superior to the Thrustmaster one. I would not hesitate to recommend buying the gunfighter to use with the Warthog stick top.

Let's face it: eu is not an important market for VKB.

Better i think. As pinky is strongest finger in a hand, it helps to get good grip from a stick while middle finger can be used to gently press a button without loosing a grip.

I dont think that is the case at least if I take statistics from my youtube channel that indicates that DCS online community of Germany, UK and Sweden together is already similar size or bigger then that of the USA. Now that is a small sample size but yeah. I dont think thats the case.

I know its not as easy to get going selling a piece of electronics in the EU etc. but I just got my hopes up lol. :D

If you have "normal/big" size hand this lateral button sit under your ring finger, if have small hands may fit under your little/pinky finger - with palm rest in upper position, see:

Lenux,

Are you the Avyx in other forum?

VKB base + grips = in controllers:

https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product_cat=vkb-controllers

VKB base only - option interesting for "F-16'ish" Warthog/Cougar grips owners:

https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=vkb-sim-gladiator-pro-mk-ii-base-only

https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=vkb-sim-gunfighter-revb-base-only

Well, can use as decorative piece. :D

I was only indicating that FSC Europe is sitting on their hands in comparison to VKB USA and VKB HQ seems to not care about it.

FSC states they are not only the distributor for the EU but for South America, the Far and Middle East and Australia, too, but they can't offer the goods because of EU regulations? Strange.

The moment you import them you can have problems, the initial pebble had problems with that and didnt get allowed to get imported initially iirc.

Yeah it is strange indeed - the obstacles presented by Eurobureaucracy only become obvious when you bump into them, and then you suddenly find yourself wondering how really strange it is that the shipment to Europe takes twice as long (and longer!) to reach Europe than that to US, and also costs a lot more at the same time*. Plus outrageous taxation. Plus EU member countries' customs practices which are simply shocking: you would not believe things like these happen in Europe in 21st century - maybe in 1970s in the Soviet Empire, but no, no, not here, not now. But it does happen here and now.

Saying this I'm not meaning that we're ideal, or our European partners are perfect.

We might really need to think about looking for more outlets in places like Middle East and Africa. Alternative dealerships in Europe? - talk to us, if you are ready to lend a hand. We're open to everything that would help us keep our customers happy.

______

* yes it does cost considerably more, but the pre-tax price is the same as that in the US; isn't this strange?

Best Regards from VKB Lair,
