GGTharos Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 I sure hope it will! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
SuperKungFu Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 anyway sorta OT but do you think i should ask the MiG-29 and the Su-25 from krazy? It would be easier than this current model because the A-10 was built without a poly limit, the MiG-29 and Su-25 should be within our poly count. I haven't asked him yet because on the lock on models site, ED released those photos of their Su-25 and MiG-29 model, however, we don't know when we will be able to get it. Maybe its for BS or another future product. We also want to factor in should we focus on one project at a time since we don't have a lot of 3dmax people in here. My main goal is to get all the flyables 3d model before venturing off to AI models. So what do you guys think? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Deadman Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I haven't heard from Lo-fi in a couple of days just found this take a look!!! http://www.lockon-models.com/index.php?showtopic=154&st=20:thumbup: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Kuky Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Very interested also... waiting patiently as well :D PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
VapoR Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 What you have so far looks great . . . I'm eagerly waiting for this one!!
Vekkinho Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I don't think that recently published pictures of MiG-29, Su-25 and Su-27 will make it into Black Shark 1.2, maybe some future patch (1.21) but I think we'll have to be satisfied with what we got. I have more faith in StrikeMax and in his Su-27 model. New LO standards are 3D objects in .LOM format. This format gives us unlimited choice for colorschemes (skins). I had a problem with skins for Su-27. Current 3D Flanker model allows 10 (or 11) skins in total for both countries (RUS and UKR) and first four skins are shared. They're to be used as standard camos that both countries have. It's not adviceable to add new skins there 'cause they'll appear for both sides. I made eight RL skins for Russian Flankers with proper markings decals and stencils. Those skins present most important Flanker squadrons from '80s and '90s. Too bad there's no space left in LO to add them without overwriting existing ones. With the new Flanker skin in .LOM format we should have unlimited number of skin positions so this shouldn't be a problem. I strayed a bit from a topic so please excuse me. Thanks! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

lo-fi Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 How about posting in the MAIN LOCKON FORUM ;) Thanks Thomas. Lol. I did think about that, but it seemed a bit more appropriate to go into the work in progress section on lock-on models. I'm also kinda trying to enourage more people to visit Knells site in the hope that it will spark even more interest in making lock-on models. There's a load of inspirational stuff there! Cheers to SKF for posting the link again, the thread over there has gained over 300 hits over christmas. Hope you all had a good one, and all the best for new years eve ;) Lo-Fi 1

Ghostrida9 Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 any updates??? :gun_smilie: RAF Gütersloh Airbase Project Now or Never
lo-fi Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Sorry guys, I've been really busy. Work has slowed quite a lot, but I still manage to fit in a few minutes here and there. With christmas, car projects, DIY, and a new job, I've had no time to do much. However, modeling is really close to being finished. I'm pretty happy with it now, the poly count is right on budget, and when I get a time window I'll get stuck into animation. Sorry about the delay, but it's by no means dead! Lo-Fi
Kuky Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Thanky you for your work lo-fi PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Razi Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Aye, thank you lo-fi. The A-10 is my primary bird at the moment and any improvements to it are most welcome.
Dice Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Lo-fi, I'm still around if you need something from me. I'm not on IM much so the best way to contact me is by posting here or, sending me a PM through the forum software. Ugly but well hung!

Once he gets a new one he will be up and working on the model once again. Kuky Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Thank you very much for the update Deadman... and thanks again to lo-fi. I guess It'll be done when it can :D PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
warthogmadman987 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Keep up the good work guys, with this model the a-10 will be revived.
Disso Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 awwww...so everything he previous worked on was lost? It wasn't backed up or uploaded anywhere? What a pity, looked like he got pretty far with what he had alone, the model looked splendid. Well I guess having to rebuild the model from scratch again, the model could only look better. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
Rodgerdat Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I have some pic's of an A-10 at an airshow I attended Dover AFB, DE
