It worked..

 

..after updating all of the three DCS installations, manually deleting the registry keys in

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Leatherneck Simulations\DCS:MIG-21Bis

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Leatherneck Simulations\DCS:MIG-21Bis

 

!!YOU ONLY HAVE TO DELETE THE "Keys" FOLDER THERE AND NOTHING ELSE!!

 

and finally activating the Mig-21 Bis module again with the original code

that I've bought it with.

That worked for me. But this whole thing shows how stupid StarForce and this activation process is. It's just a pain in the a$$ for the honest buyers...

And still, I didn't receive any + activations. I am down 1 now.

Don't expect much.. I was down to 2 and they only gave me 2 more! What a joke! I'm a legit customer. Been with DCS since LOMAC back in 2007!! Even before that because I changed my account..

More precisely, you have received 7 additional activations so far. Almost another key.

 

Unless you reinstall Windows, change your CPU or delete the game without deactivation, you'll probably won't need any activation anytime soon.

I got it to work by deleting the registry key (with backup of course) at

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Leatherneck Simulations

 

and then re-entering the key to activate from scratch. This all happened after I got the latest update without deactivating the first time like it was suggested.

 

It fixed my problem when I updated before deactivating my 21.

Not until you use all of them.

 

The way it actually works is then when your activation count reaches zero, a thirty day countdown begins. After the thirty days has elapsed you will receive one new activation. You will not receive any more new activations until you use that one, which will reduce your activation count to zero thus starting the thirty day countdown again.

 

Once your activation count reaches zero, it will never rise higher than one.

I do not want the mig 21 anymore. All the time when start DCS 1.5 ask me for mig 21 key. Accepts the key and do again next time I open the DCS Today stop me to login on DCS 1.5 because the mig 21 key is wrong.

I've had enough. With 14 modules to play I will not spend my time whit this anymore.

Trading license keys that ran out of activations and thus can not be used is even worse. Can it be called fraud?

 

Maybe a better option would be to provide more information on what you did and when concerning your DCS installation (version, when updated, what happened then, provide log files, whatever) to get help here. And/or contact support to get your issues sorted.

and give to people on this forum whit could not afford bro.

To add to what razo+r already said, make sure to check the other April thread, the first post contains all the doc you need (check case 4 in the pdf). You only need to do this once, for either 1.5.6 or 2.0.5.

This whole thing with Starforce is really unprofessional. Even if it couldn't be handled any other way it still is very unprofessional. Changes to the product should be done in such a way that we don't even notice them happen - not make us read a 10 page manual on how to have access to your product after some patch. The developers should be very grateful for such an understanding community, because in any other game there would be only torches and pitchforks for such an unprofessional treatment of customers. It would be hell. That is all.

Perhaps you missed the two long threads of support and the unprecedented availability from their part, or the fact they cannot control all external constraints like the protection mechanism provider or ED's delivery system. To me, that looked very professional, the only glitch was not asking ED to mention this in the first update but considering the circumstances it does not shock me.

 

They solved an old problem with a very simple method, and still get criticized for that, I'm amazed. Especially when it comes with complex products that require reading hundreds of pages of manual, this in comparison is quite basic.

 

I don't understand why we had to do this, I suppose it's a limitation of the StarForce system or poor support from their part, I don't want to speculate. Those protections are always the matter of choosing a lesser evil. Thankfully they're not using something bad as Denuvo, that would be the day I uninstall the product.

Another attempt, another fail. This is what I do.

 

 

1. Launch DCS world and disable the Mig-21BIS module under the modules tab
   
2. Run the reg cleaner program. It informs me it "added new value" to the registry or something. I thought it was supposed to remove a value but oh well
   
3. I restart the computer
   
4. I launch DCS World
   
5. I enable Mig-21 BIS module
   
6. I restart the game
   
7. I get the following error:
    
   Can anybody out there help me? I love the module (when it works)
