Are the 14gigs I am downloading just the shader updates? Or does this include the Normandy map already?

I got it to dl from the updater in the Bins folder in the root install folder but everything dl's directly to my desktop(weird). Maybe i'm caught in some nooby hype dimension.

So put the downloads folder in the game folder when done.

Yeah if I leave that same icon in the bins folder than it doesn't dl so am gonna do that next an than repair once done just to be safe.

If I do this it tells me it is copying many gigs of files from my current DCS 2.05 somewhere? Does this create another install, or what's happening?

I updated. I started the game. It said new version available, do you wanna udpate to 2.05? Hell no. I log in, no maps are available. I hit repair, I get an error log saying update not available. I hit update, update to 2.05. I hit repair. I cannot log in. I run the game, now it updates to 2.1 again. Come on.....

Called my wife from work to run the updater for the Alpha version. She says it's running. I love my wife :)

 

Anyway, seems like it's some kind of staggered release according to timezones. (GMT+1 here). Though that should mean the Aussies and Kiwis should have gotten it yesterday...and they didnt. So Im probably wrong :)
