Ranma13 Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 The heel area looks a bit odd, almost like something is supposed to protrude up from it instead of being flat. My guess is that this is a configurable pedal set, and you can choose between heli-style pedals in the back, or fixed wing style pedals in the front.

Barefoot Bandit Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Which one do you have? MFGs? Baur F3's. I also have a set of VKB T-Rudder MKIII's, so, personally, I'm good with rudders for now  I'm still interested in them, though, from an engineering perspective, I enjoy seeing the different solutions. Sokol1_br Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 No brakes? :( Brake are on T50 "hand brake" lever, so those "toe brakes" became superfluous and pedal less costly. :)

Sokol1_br Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 "Hand (differential) brake" can be used universally in all planes, in any game, "Joe brakes" can't be used for all planes in some games (eg. IL-2:BoS). ;)

mx22 Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 "Hand (differential) brake" can be used universally in all planes, in any game, "Joe brakes" can't be used for all planes in some games (eg. IL-2:BoS). ;) I think your statement actually reinforces why we need 3-axis pedals;) Extra axis can be left unassigned and it won't matter for when either plane or game does not support them; but when you need them - T-rudders (or should I say 1-axis rudder, no matter if it's slide or push design) just doesn't have an answer.
Hellcat Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Meh....toe brakes are overrated....I've had several different sets, fly jet's ,choppers and WW2 birds using T-Link and I don't miss em' .....to each his own. i7-9700K @ 5.0 l MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus MB l 32GB DDR4 2400 Ram l Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB M.2 l EVGA 3080 FTW l Win10 Pro l WarBRD/Warthog Hotas l VKB MkIV rudder Pedals l Reverb G2
escaner Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 "Hand (differential) brake" can be used universally in all planes, in any game, "Joe brakes" can't be used for all planes in some games (eg. IL-2:BoS). ;) Of course you can use them. Just map "Wheel brakes" to one or both pedal brakes. Having brakes in the pedals is very handy, as they free your hands to do other stuff: e.g. tuning radios, copying departure clearance, organizing your desktop, or looking for the pen that just fell to the floor to name a few. That is why it currently is the most commonly used system in airplanes. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
streakeagle Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I wouldn't even dream of buying rudder pedals without toe brakes. By far the majority of sims I play/aircraft I fly use them. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Canadus Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Brake are on T50 "hand brake" lever, so those "toe brakes" became superfluous and pedal less costly. :) IMHO this may be true for Soviet-era aircraft, like MIG-21 or L-39, etc. Where you don`t use toe-brakes. But I for myself will not buy a set of pedals, without a toe-braking feature. I`m searching for a set of quality build pedals, that I can use for all of my DCS-moduls (SU-27T / L-39C / A-10C / AJS-37) and that I can use for General Aviation (X Plane 11) also. I like the design and the quality of the VKP pedals. But the missing toe-brakes keep me off. Just my 2ct. Bogey Jammer Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I am very interested by the VPC Mongoose stick, and I'm excited to discover the eventual VPC's future throttle unit, then I'll consider a purchase for a combo. But seeing that VPC clearly orients its products to russian cockpit layout made me wonder if the future throttle will be versatile enough like the Mongoose grip to fit all other DCS modules as well. Without toe brakes, that is indeed not the case with those rudders. VPC should consider to offer more features than to stick to a specific design. While it is OK for WW2 simpler aircraft fanatics, I think it is not quite suited for such complex modern jets. We already have the A-10C, perhaps the most demanding about HOTAS, then we will get the F/A-18C and the F-14. There is unfortunately no soviet modern aircraft DCS-grade modules announced yet. I don't care if the product's style matches a specific aircraft, I fly in VR, and I need something neutral ergonomically fitting every aircraft. I'll buy : МиГ-23МЛД & МЛА МиГ-27К МиГ-25 Mirage III F-4E any IJ plane 1950' Korea Dynamic campaign module
