i like your video. no DDG´s screaming and it looks like you know what you are doing. i appreciate that you took a couple days to familiarize with the airframe, before you release a video! nice one! please more!

Nothing wrong in having fun and express it in a vídeo, if you mean other previews.

Thanks Jabbers, very nice introduction and very well done video

Agreed, best preview so far for me

Great preview.

Was wondering, can you throw the sidearm at any radar source, like an airborne radar for example?

And one for Razbam, Ill just throw in here. Maybe its just me, but easy on them canopy shadows. You wont get shadows on glass, except when they arent fully transparent, or just very dirty. Perhaps try with darker base color and more transparency, so they wont be as milky (which too me gives it a dusty feel) and have these strong shadows. Quite general across many modules actually, and its the first thing I want to edit / mod. I would get very annoyed, very fast, if my cars windscreen was like that :)

Other than that, it looks fantastic.

I think this is a DCS common issue more than a Razbam's one.

Best review so far

Yup, I expected a really top notch video from Jabbers (given the previous videos of his that I have watched) and he delivered. Well done, mate.

I read in the pocket guide that the sidearms hit probability may need work but in all the videos I've seen so far they all found their target. Have you had any misses off a good tone lock?

Great video, thanks!

Did you already try the Harrier with a VR-HMD (as far as I remember you own a Rift?)? Any thoughts then on readability of gauges and displays. Performance.

WOW! Fantastic video! I think the vtol landing is going to be tough because when I asked about that...I noticed when I watched Harriers land on the deck they normally bounce when VTOL landing. The F35 does the same thing. Does anyone know what is the normal Decent rate to touchdown for the AV8B. Thanks... The response I got was... It is calculated on the spot by the pilot based on aircraft weight. By Zeus67.

So if I get it, it means we are going to have to figure fuel expended, weapons expended then calculate how much thrust for a specific vector at a specific density altitude...I can do income tax math pretty good so I'll be doing a bunch of conventional fixed wing landings. LoL

The aircraft does have a "calculator" for those, but it won't be available until later.

I have missed yes.

If I can put together another video I will do it in VR. The VR experience is great, somethings are hard to read, but like any plane, once you know what they are its not important. The important things can be read just fine.

I think for now you just assume like a conventional landing somewhere under 200 feet/minute touchdown. Heavier equals slower. That’s how I would do it

I think I saw in the lower right of the HUD - rate of climb/descent and I suspect that it doesn't require manual calculation if you stay between x and y rate. Will be interesting to find out.

The hit probability has improved thanks to ED. In my few tests, it seems that you need a stable firing platform for the missile to hit, otherwise it can miss.

In one of my test flights, I engaged what I thought it was a SA-8 but instead it locked on a search radar that was behind it and killed it. When I panic fired at the SA-8 later, it was shooting at me, it missed the launcher.

The main drawback is that you have no control over what target it locks. So a good tactic is to keep enemy radar sources separated, if possible, so you can engage the one you want.

Still, it needs more testing.

I'd love to see you do some AA refueling. I'm wondering how hard it will be to look left until you make contact and then transition to looking at the tanker. lol, that'll be fun the first few times.

It’s very hard, I can refuel every plane in dcs, I tried a few times for this video, I was goint to take off then refuel for more on station time but could not do it in the time frame I gave myself to get the video out

Amazing video Jabbers, must confess it was the first time I’ve ever watched one of your vids, was so impressed with the quality I subscribed straight away.

Can’t wait to see your other videos.
