Refueling Time

Hi guys,

 

I did a refueling today (my first one with the Mirage) and I noticed that the flow rate was waaaaaay too high. Like 3000 kg in 40 secs. Is that how it refuels in real life?

 

Latest 1.5 version.

What kind of tanker did you refueling from?

UPAZ-1 on Il-78 should give 900 liters per minute for "small" planes and 2200 lpm for "large" ones. M2000C looks like "small" one.

I checked with some friends and they also fill their tanks within 30 seconds.

 

It looks like a bug, doesnt it?

It could very well be... :music_whistling: but I doubt many will be happy to see it changed considering the difficulty some have with AAR. :cry:

This source states that the KC-10 can deliver up to 4100L/min with Boom:

It doesn’t distinguish between smaller and bigger aircrafts, but at least gives some Numbers

The source says that drogue system from different aircrafts can do about 1000-2000 l per minute!

2000+ is doable with a boom.

With the Mirage we're talking about the drogue system. The boom is out of the equation.

The fuel flow rate for refueling the Mirage in air to air is 500 Kg per minute.

 

so refueling in 40 sec is impossible IRL.

 

Razbam should mind this and fix it.

I think the problem comes from the Mirage it self, but this bug is here since a long time, i would say when the module was release.

 

also another bug i've noticed, the light "RVT VOL" on the fuel gauge should light up when you receive fuel from the tanker but it's not.

 

but the list goes on and on...like the magic II symbology or iff light etc...

 

But don't worry, 2 more weeks whoops i mean 3.

Criterium isn't actually receiving fuel IIRC, but having the switch in one of the 2 refuel positions.

Wow, 4180 Liters / min. Anybody know what that is in Bar (pressure)? 70 L/sec, thats a lot of pressure for those pipes.

This was not fixed, I just refueled from a KC 130 and it pumps even faster than before!

I tried this in DCS 2.2 open alpha with an IL-76 and instead of being full in less than a minute you can watch the fuel slowly(10kg per second?).

No, that's 10 x 60 = 600kg/min.

 

The average is 500kg/ min, but the rate is higher when the tanks are empty, and lower when it's near full.

 

At 500kg/ min it's 6 min to take 3000kg, so it's plenty enough time :music_whistling:

Ok, but now is more 20 or 30 per second, so it is not fixed, which is the point here.

I did a little more testing today, it seems i was wrong yesterday. 20 to 30kg per second looks more accurate, sorry all for my over excitement. :joystick:
