Lace Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Firstly hello, I'm new to the forums but have had DCS for some time now, and have been PC flight-simming on and off since the mid 1990s. Private pilot and frustrated fighter pilot IRL. Anyway, that's me, here's the Jag: In-keeping with the late cold war era aircraft currently represented Genuine multi-role capability (SEAD, A2A, CAS, bombing, recce, etc) Single pilot Multiple real-world airforces have (and do still) operated it Rough strip capability Nuclear capability (!) Not too 'fancy' or easy to operate Looks great (subjective I know) It's already had a few wishlist mentions so I'm not alone! Old enough that POH and technical manuals are declassified Gratuitous Op Granby Jag pic below: Laptop Pilot. Alienware X17, i9 11980HK 5.0GHz, 16GB RTX 3080, 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, 2x2TB NVMe SSD. 2x TM Warthog, Hornet grip, Virpil CM2 & TPR pedals, Virpil collective, Cougar throttle, Viper ICP & MFDs, pit WIP (XBox360 when traveling). Quest 3S. Wishlist: Tornado, Jaguar, Buccaneer, F-117 and F-111.
FistofZen Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 7. Not too 'fancy' or easy to operate - Get out of here Am I special?
Deano87 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 +1000 I'd love to see a Jag. Interesting aircraft with lots of character. I'm biased though as my dad flew them. laumaya Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 +1 Beautiful plane  Current specs: Windows 10 64bit, i7-7700K @ 4.8 Ghz, 32 GB RAM, 1 To SSD, RTX2070-Super, TrackIR 5, TM Warthog, TM T.Flight Rudder Pedals
QuiGon Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I would prefer a Tornado. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Northstar98 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) I'd go for a Jaguar, but I'd like multiple variants. Preferably an A and an S variant and maybe export A and S variants as well. It's old enough not to be classified (I'd imagine) and is more feasible than a Tornado (which I'd also love, but here's the problem - complicated aircraft have the most things to go wrong with them - missing systems, buggy systems, approximated systems. Plus they take ages and ages to perfect - personally not sustainable - not really (maybe that's the wrong word, but hopefully you see my point)). If not a Jaguar, Blackburn Buccaneer S.1, S.2B, S.2D? MikeMikeJuliet Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 New aircraft are always welcome. I would be interested, but even if I wasn't a new aircraft to fly alongside with or against is a good thing regardless of my own interest. DCS Finland | SF squadron
