10 Reasons the Jaguar would make a great DCS addition...

Firstly hello, I'm new to the forums but have had DCS for some time now, and have been PC flight-simming on and off since the mid 1990s. Private pilot and frustrated fighter pilot IRL.

Anyway, that's me, here's the Jag:

  1. In-keeping with the late cold war era aircraft currently represented
  2. Genuine multi-role capability (SEAD, A2A, CAS, bombing, recce, etc)
  3. Single pilot
  4. Multiple real-world airforces have (and do still) operated it
  5. Rough strip capability
  6. Nuclear capability (!)
  7. Not too 'fancy' or easy to operate
  8. Looks great (subjective I know)
  9. It's already had a few wishlist mentions so I'm not alone!
  10. Old enough that POH and technical manuals are declassified

Gratuitous Op Granby Jag pic below:

+1000 I'd love to see a Jag. Interesting aircraft with lots of character. I'm biased though as my dad flew them.

I would prefer a Tornado.

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I'd go for a Jaguar, but I'd like multiple variants.

Preferably an A and an S variant and maybe export A and S variants as well.

It's old enough not to be classified (I'd imagine) and is more feasible than a Tornado (which I'd also love, but here's the problem - complicated aircraft have the most things to go wrong with them - missing systems, buggy systems, approximated systems. Plus they take ages and ages to perfect - personally not sustainable - not really (maybe that's the wrong word, but hopefully you see my point)). If not a Jaguar, Blackburn Buccaneer S.1, S.2B, S.2D?
