Hi.

In my cockpit I use a seat with ejection handle as real does, and it's no practical pulling three times for the ejection. Triple action is fantastic for avoid mistakes pushing a joystick button or keyboard, but not for a dedicated handle. Please, add an option for ejection with single action.

Thank you!

Antonio.

I understand why they went with the triple option. I'm sure you may have already tried this, or maybe it's not feasible. A work around would to use an external application like xpadder or joy2key to map a quick macro to your handle. I'm not trying to discredit your wish, just adding a possible work-around in the mean time.

Can’t you reassign Eject to a single keypress?

No. It is hard coded somewhere.

ED should add an unbound (meaning not even a keyboard key for it) key for single-press ejection as an alternate to the current 3x method.

That could then be bound to whichever control the user desires.

This should satisfy all possible users.

ED could just add a delay from the key is pressed and until the ejection takes place.

Or make it so you would have to keep the key pressed for xxx miliseconds.

From the land of short-term solutions: if you built yourself a cockpit with a proper ejection handle, couldn't you program the MCU to send the signal in triplicate?

You indeed can, but the less external programs you need, the better. Plus, not everybody knows this is a possibility, or knows how it is done.

I actually really like the fact we need to press a button 3 times. Pressing just one button once can be done too fast, it would be kind of a "cheat". Pressing a button 3 times is closer to the time required to pull the ejection seat handle.

plus it's more safe to avoid "mishap ejections" by pushing the wrong buttons :)

Which is exactly why I suggest adding a single-press button with nothing bound to it by default

You are certainly right, but I thought it was rather safe to assume that somebody who set up their own cockpit arrangement shouldn't have much trouble with that.

A fair point, especially with even lite-pit builders...
