I want a good modern-day strategy game. The last one I played (which was pretty fun) was Command and Conquer Generals: zero hour, I was wondering do any of you boys play anything similar where you get to control small aircrafts and such. I’m going to try out Act of War: Direct Action and Joint Task Force today, are there any other games out there that’s similar to command and conquer? Most of these games today you can’t control a fleet of aircraft, you can only radio them in.

Nothing here, sorry. I never really liked command and conquer ZO. I could suggert company of heros, but that's WWII and I do believe that you can only radio in aircraft.

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

C&C 3 with Grace Park and Tricia Helfer :chair: I said that b/c they raped C&C right with Generals, and now they have Warhammered it 40000 times, and now it sucks.

Ok..................... Is that the new one, or is that one of the older ones?

It's coming out on 19th of April. It can be preordered now for 10$ less (although they charge at once). When it comes out, you can download it from their site and receive a copy by mail a few days later. Cool thing since you don't have to wait for it to arrive and still get a hard-copy.

I like particullary Air Assault Task Force: http://www.prosimco.com/aatf/index.htm

Hmmm Not that realistic. Just been looking at the Falklands War and it shows a mechanised attack. This never happened, certainly not on the scale they are showing anyway.

Not exactly modern times, but Medieval 2: Total War will blow you away. There are hundreds of hours to be spend on this one.

You have to catch him at a moment when all dimplomacy fails and he dukes it out on the battlefield with 10'000 men deployed. You might like that :)

Joint Task Force RTS is a complete mess, gameplay is annoying. Save time, don't bother with it. It just looks good on cinematic screenshots that's all. You can't get these kind of screenshots in the final game. Camera is locked from above on like 30mx20m terrain.
