Flamin_Squirrel Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Does anyone know what the brakes are like? Are they load cells, or just bog standard springs?
X93355 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Mine arrived today, testing them tomorrow. They are nicely put together, they feel great in my cockpit, better than the MFG's if I dare say so. But at twice the price they better be as good as they look. Thick8 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Really looking forward to your assessment. I put one in my cart on Amazon but am waiting to hear if they are worth the $500 asking price. Sokol1_br Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Thrustmaster sent me a review set so I’ll be giving them a thorough review myself, If possible test TPR without center springs in DCS helicopters, think this will be an interesting option.

OK will do, do helicopters typically not have resistance back to center? Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. SplashOneGaming.com - Splash One is a community built on combat flight simulation. Sokol1_br Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) Yes, since heli pilot act over pedal practically all time, without springs became more natural. Seems that if is need remove foots from pedals the weight of vertical bar of inverted "T" is sufficient for keep pedal on ~ center. If confirmed this TPR will be the best option for helicopters that not dedicated pedals - e.g. Komodo. Edited August 24, 2018 by Sokol1_br
dimebug Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 You can remove the springs or use a part that will neutralize the spring effect. i've created a 3D printable part for that if someone is interested. You can switch "off" the spring in 2 seconds, and return to the original setup as quickly. In the case ypu want to use it without spring, it would be interesting to add some friction : without springs, due to the weight of the pedals and the lack of friction, Isaac NEWTON magic calls the pedals to center position. Add a Friction system may be easy, but no time for expriment and mod this right now, just enjoying the rudder as it is.
Thick8 Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Thanks for that. I was really hopeful they would be as good as you say they are.
