F/A-18C Lot 20 Template Questions / Help

Anyone know why this is happening? First pic is what it looks like in game and second is what it should look like.

 

change the Diffuse layer for all 6 Bort Materials to match your F-18C-2 Diffuse Texture. in the description.lua

DDS:

 

DXT1 ARGB 4 bpp | 1 bit alpha

 

DXT3 ARGB 8 bpp | explicit alpha

 

DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha

 

Been playing with it but they appear black. Thanks.

Great! Because once I realized which part you were talking about I remembered I had been looking for them too...haha

Also, there was a guy who had mapped all the parts and put a template of it in the USER FILES section of the website. I was dumb and didn't download it when I first saw it and now I can't seem to find it again.

Thanks for the help with finding the last texture. I am struggling to find the inside of the "box" on the vert stab. I want to paint inside the box circled in this pic. Anyone know where this texture is?

DDS files can't be edited/opened with any GIMP version, unless you install the .dds plugin.

It wasn't these squares....it takes the whatever is drawn over it but inverts it.....very weird.

Hornet Helmet Visor File

 

Could someone direct me to the location and name of the visor file for the Hornet? Wanted to experiment with some coloring to see if I can get this effect:

It's in CoreMods->F18->textures and the textures zip.

Path is from the top of my head, I'm in the office and not on my PC so can't get you the exact path and name of the file.

 

But I believe it's part of the Pilot_Helmet.

You should be able to find it there.

Great thanks I'll take a look in there. Your tape file was a huge help! I had tried to get that effect to look good and it just wasn't anywhere near where I wanted it to be.

Also, Home Fries did a bug report on the inside cockpit flight suit model. It won't show a custom tan flight suit right now but I'm sure they'll fix it soon. Then you should be able to look down and see a flight suit that matches the external model.
