TigersharkBAS Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Just wanted to show some more things that you can do with the skin, I made our Squadron Skins and gave each individual in the Squadron a BUNO number that matched their personal Skin AC number on the plane. I edited the required Diff and Alpha and added the Lua code lines and textures to the skin folder and Lua. Hey strut. I’ll give you the proper font for that Bu num if you post more details how to do it :-) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Creator of: F-18C VFA-195 "Dambusters" 1998 CAG Livery https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213788 F-18C VFA-195 "Dambusters" July 2001 CAG Livery https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215950 Pilot avatars for DCS Logbook https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=221160 How to make a DCS A-10C Panel http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65998

Nealius Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Is there no line jet version of the VMFA-314? The User Files show screenshots with both the digital camo and line jets, but the line jet is not listed in the downloads.
DonJosh Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 My personal updated VMFA-232 skin: -added a fixed bort number to look closer to the real one. -added a desert tan flight suit. -added Red Devils Pilot helmet. -working on the patches

DonJosh Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 (edited) VMFA-232 (22) Buno 164266 red highlight I work with the VMFA-232 Line skin from ED. So all Credits for the complete Skin goes to ED. I call it "red highlight" because on the red colored vertical stabilizer tips. I added follwing points: -added a fixed Bort Number and (Watermanpc add the correct BunO Number) to look closer to the real one. -added red vertical stabilizer tips by Watermanpc -added a desert tan flight suit. -added Camo Pilot helmet. White Red Devils Pilot helmet added as option -added VMFA-232 patch -added Red Devils-Fueltank (ED) from the VMFA-232 high visibility skin To do: - some small details like pilot names etc. - CHSubZero help me with BunO Number Plate in the Cockpit Thx to Watermanpc and CHSubZero to help me out with there skill full hands. THE TEMPLATE IS MADE BY EAGLE DYNAMICS (ED) ALL RIGHTS ARE BY EAGLE DYNAMICS Edited July 17, 2018 by DonJosh
Flаnker Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 (edited) VMFA-232 (22) Buno 164266 red highlight -added a fixed Bort Number Good job It seems to me that the fixed side numbers are not a good idea (IMHO). Players should be able to display their own onboard number. Moreover, there are many airplanes with such coloring (red endings of vertical tail and such emblem). Can you show a photo of the prototype? Edited July 17, 2018 by Flаnker Мои авиафото
DonJosh Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Thank you :) i understand your point, but my intention is to do this skin as close as possible to the real one. And only the 22 will fit the added BunO number. And never say never, after i finished the real skin, i can release this skin with a variable bort number aswell ;) what do you mean with "a photo of the prototype"? I added a screenshot in post #140 or do you mean a real photo from this skin?

Flаnker Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 sure Pay attention to the technical inscriptions near the cockpit of the pilot (the color of the inscriptions, the list of inscriptions and others), as well as fuel tanks (they differ from standard tanks VMFA-232 (figures at the beginning of the tank));) Мои авиафото

Texac Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 (edited) I'd like to know for future reference where errors are on my liveries, considering 12 of them dont exist in real life. :pilotfly: I'm currently working on my own VX-31 CoNA. On your skin I noticed: - black lerx - black sun reflector area in front of the windshield is glossy, usually mat black - "DANGER" text on the jet intake to big - actual orange/red, white and gray paints are slightly incorrect on many airframe parts - colored US symbol to small - colored US symbol placed slightly wrong on the wings - warning symbol on the canopy frame visible - to many maintenance indications, there are less to none, depending on the variant - depending on the variant, the antennas are colored or stay standard. I can't name all the antennas specifically but on the bottom of the aircraft I believe TACAN & UHF are always colored in orange. - seams & rivets are all highly visible, at least on photos they are almost non visible from just a few meters away - warning and ejection seat color wrong - small NAVY text below the 5210 number - multiple parts not colored Edited July 26, 2018 by Texac - My Skins/Liveries - Improved F-16C Texture Template • Texac on YouTube •

Texac Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Here is the final NSAWC skin. Thanks to Mrjollyroger103, who provided images from a few weeks ago, I could add a standard gray NAWDC livery with black parts. Also the VX-31 CONA paint scheme from 2011 in two variants which differ in very little details such as the antennas color, maintenance indications and CoNA symbol. 1 - My Skins/Liveries - Improved F-16C Texture Template • Texac on YouTube •
