VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

OK anyone know why after i have deleted the files in the dcs named folder at the following location F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains\PersianGulf\misc\metacache and renamed the folder to dcs.old nothing new is being created when I run the Sim in any of the 4 terrains.

Awesome but explain in the readme where it states it wont happen. I have read the readme and as per below it states this. If you can see where it says nothing will now be created then I stand corrected.

 

- Remove terrain metacaches. For example:

Mods\terrains\Caucasus\misc\metacache\dcs

Mods\terrains\Nevada\misc\metacache\dcs

Mods\terrains\???\misc\metacache\dcs

rename those directories to dcs.old or similar. This ensures

the metashaders will be recompiled correctly.

- Run DCS World. The shaders will be compiled as they are used

for the first time, so first startup and loading of mission will

take a while (can be 10 minutes or more). While playing you can

also see some stutters when new shaders are compiling for the

first time.

at no point does it say the folders will be regenerated, only that the shaders will be... which they are just not in the folders.. you assumed that the folders would be .. please point to where it is ?

I didnt state it does say that, you stated that it said it wont which it doesnt.

Apparently, I know I do my best to run a topic search before asking a question that may offend one of the professional pilots on board but usually give up in frustration and just ask.

Perhaps as well as being an awesome pilot and really nice guy your a search engine expert. Maybe start a sticky...

did you press the recce event button on your joystick? that turns it on and off. also check to make sure you have it set in settings to be drawn in either one eye, both eyes, or none.

I pressed the recce button yes but it doesn't work :/

I didn't try changing the settings yet.

Where are those settings? In the mod or in DCS? didn't see them in dcs

Yeah, is that mask option setting the same as the mask setting for this shader mod or is it different?

It says this directly, so I'm led to believe the same. I also doubt the performance improvements to the game will even come close to Kegetys gain.

 

I am eagerly awaiting a 49314 version of this mod!

Hmmm, ok the IC Pass Clean water mod, sorta works on the latest beta but there are some terrible "strobe lines" when looking at the water, and it very definitely didn't pass IC. Kegetys original mod works, but you loose clear water and you definitely don't pass the IC (as he states in his OP).

Are you using the clear water version? No problems with it here.

the latest. I didnt update anything, but now I got clouds and trails being traced in the water again when I move my head. I dont have the water mod.
