I know that as soon as the Cat hits the streets people will be making their own skins but I was wondering what the 'official' livery selection will be
backspace340 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I'm really hoping the B will come with at least one aggressor / non-US skin (fictional IRIAF skin?) - lots of servers are intending to add them to red from day one so it'll be nice to have at least one default non-USN livery.

Swordsman422 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 At the very least VF-1 and VF-2 from 1989, VF-74 and VF-103 (still the Sluggers, thank goodness) from 1994, VF-102 from around 1996 and VF-103 from around 2003, based on the artwork we've seen so far and campaign information. But I am certain we'll get far more than that.

Cdodders Posted October 17, 2018 Author Posted October 17, 2018 I would imagine that there will be a boat load of liveries from pretty much all USN F-14 sqns, I would like variations on sqn liveries plus a few fictional liveries, like ED did with the Hornet. Not that there wont be a few hundred already pre-planned user-made liveries that will be ready within 3-4 hours of release!

I'm most looking forward to VF-51 and VF-111 circa 1992, VF-21, VF-154, and VF-213 circa 1995 - '96 for the F-14A, and VF-103 circa 1996 for the F-14B. The '90s were a great time for the Tomcat!

PS: Due to my skill level in DCS, figure i would try and blind the enemy with the chrome cat....it just might work.

Therefore, certain tail insignia and liveries simply don't belong on specific variants. That said, given their open-architecture approach, I'm sure they'll make those textures available for you to modify; they just won't release it specifically themselves.
