philstyle Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I notice in the "Big Show Campaign" video that the user/ producer of the video does not have the bright green armored gun-sight glass that we have. Does this mean that the issue has been fixed, at least internally now? See at 28 seconds: On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/philstylenz Storm of War WW2 server website: https://stormofwar.net/
Reflected Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I made this trailer ages ago, when it was still ok. sorry mate :( Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
petsild Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 The campaign came out at the least appropriate time, the module Spitfire has too visible :( graphical bugs. in this condition, unfortunately, the new campaign I'm not buying. MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4, Kingston 3600 MHz 64 Gb, i5 12600K, Gigabyte RTX 4090, Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus,VKB NXT Premium.
Mango Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Still playing the campaign despite this bug, but the green tint really makes it hard to track bogeys!
petsild Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 The last beta is now without the green tone. MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4, Kingston 3600 MHz 64 Gb, i5 12600K, Gigabyte RTX 4090, Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus,VKB NXT Premium.
HappyHombre Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 I'm still seeing the green tint. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module and still no change.
DD_Fenrir Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 There should be some green tint - however, not to the obscuring degree that had been evident prior to todays patch.
Lixma 06 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 It depends what you're flying over. Fingers crossed ED can fix the all-penetrating lighting.
escaner Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 It depends what you're flying over. Fingers crossed ED can fix the all-penetrating lighting.Graphical Settings - cockpit illumination off. TBH, that option should be removed, it makes no sense to make your aircraft fuselage transparent to incoming light. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
petsild Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 If I turn off the cockpit illumination, no improvement effect. MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4, Kingston 3600 MHz 64 Gb, i5 12600K, Gigabyte RTX 4090, Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus,VKB NXT Premium.
Lixma 06 Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Graphical Settings - cockpit illumination off. That's not the problem.
escaner Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 That's not the problem. Not for the glare shield tint, but it is for what you were complaining about: the "all-penetrating lighting" that your video shows. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

It's not (I've never used cockpit illumination) The issue is with DCS - light sources ignoring solid objects. edit: e.g. Edited January 1, 2019 by Lixma 06

You can just fly from the mainland over the sea and you'll find that the otherwise lightly tinted glass will be completely colorless. You wanted to help :) and I appreciate it.
