Grippen7 Posted December 24, 2018 Author Posted December 24, 2018 (edited) Hi all, Found the solution to bring the sim alive again. Removed all mods and files with the errors. (ERROR SECURITYCONTROL) :) I tought that the Mb-339A/PAN mod was on my C: drive instead of my H: drive. Skyhawk was installed in this directory: (removed it.) c:\Users\ABC\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ Files removed from this directory: h:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\ After this I performed a repair and now DCS is running again. Thank for all your help and hope others could solve there problems too. PS: Merry christmas and a happy new year to all DCS staff and virtual pilots! :smilewink: Best regards, Grippen7 2018-12-24 01:52:10.005 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Failed to parse manifest: mods/tech/vnao/dcs_manifest.x86_64 2018-12-24 01:52:10.031 INFO SECURITYCONTROL: Loaded (mm) mods/tech/wwii units/dcs_module.dll.crypt 2018-12-24 01:52:10.031 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Failed to parse manifest: mods/tech/dcs-gpu/dcs_manifest.x86_64 2018-12-24 01:52:10.031 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Failed to parse manifest: mods/tech/main/dcs_manifest.x86_64 2018-12-24 01:52:10.191 ALERT SECURITYCONTROL: Manifest 'mods/aircraft/hawk/dcs_manifest.x86_64' is from a different build. 2018-12-24 01:52:10.235 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Failed to parse manifest: mods/aircraft/mb-339pan/dcs_manifest.x86_64 Edited December 24, 2018 by Grippen7
Paganus Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Your problem is the unofficial Mb-339A/PAN mod. This is known and info is available here... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3727394#post3727394

Grippen7 Posted December 24, 2018 Author Posted December 24, 2018 (edited) First to blame, last to apologise. And they always lie about deleting mods :) FYI I installed the Mb-339A/PAN mod, but it did not run, then I installed it in both directory's. The main DCS folder on my H: SSD drive and the second one, in my save game folder on the C: drive. But it did not run so I removed it frome the save game folder and forgot to remove it from the H: drive main DCS folder. That was the problem and I learned my lesson now. :smilewink: The folder structure is very confusing for addons and skins. We have the folowing folders: Bazar CoreMods DemoMods Mods Savegame Mods folder ect. Why not one folder for installing aircraft and skins? Best regards Grippen7 Edited December 24, 2018 by Grippen7
Mud Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I strongly suggest using OVGME for doing your addons. You just have to set your folder structure up once per mod then, if it has not been done for you already. Clean and safe! Drona Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 This is why I run 0 mods and don't have any extra security software. DCS runs better with nothing interfering with it.
Rudel_chw Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 This is why I run 0 mods and don't have any extra security software. DCS runs better with nothing interfering with it. But you do lose the improvements that some of the Mods provide .. I prefer my russian aircrafts with english cockpits, the airbases with added scenery and the soldiers with the correct uniforms for the country they represent ... .. so I prefer to just learn the proper way to manage my Mods and remember to disable them prior to each update ... and Mods with conflicts are not the norm, but rather the exception anyway.
