westr Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Rumors of that have been greatly exaggerated - though at least if that all was nothing but true it would prove VKB products were so sought after. Wait and we'll see. Thank you for the reply. I eagerly await. 33-DFTC Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Take Aerogator's comment with a grain of salt, despite his attempts to minimize the supply chain issues there's plenty evidence of people trying to get their hands on a MCG Pro for more than a year now. Just take a look at this page of the topic and you'll have plenty of very recent accounts of members trying to buy products from VKB. Do they manufacture quality products ? Yeah, for sure, no doubt about that. Can you expect to buy them in a heartbeat ? Not a chance. There are only two types of aircraft, fighters and targets. - Major Doyle "Wahoo" Nicholson, USMC
AeroGator Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Take Aerogator's comment with a grain of salt Even with a camel load of salt is OK! No sarcasm. Whilst what you say about frustratingly long waiting time is true, there is something called survivorship bias. When applied to this situation it means: we hear the voices of those who had to wait long because we don't hear the voices of those who didn't. Because those who got their devices on time are busy flying. With all my compassion for the former, they are royally outnumbered by the latter. Which does not of course make the former feel better... sorry for that. Here I wrote a few words about it, maybe it would help. > Best Regards from VKB Lair, AeroGator

valrond Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I voted yes. I the past I would have probably voted no, but my personal situation has changed. I haven't been able to use my pedals for over a year because of an injury. I have a hotas warthog and pedals, but I can't use it cause my feet can't handle it. I waited to get better, but in the end, I haven't, so I have to use a Thrustmaster T16000m as joystick with the Warthog Hotas. I have looked for a high end joystick with twist, but I haven't found any. This could be it if it has the twist.

Sokol1_br Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) Gunfighter Mk.II base (3-pin Rev.B) + Kosmosima (Standard or Premium) grip. Or if don't have use for buttons in joystick base, and want the features of "dry-clutch", Gunfither base + Kosmosima grip. Edited March 16, 2019 by Sokol1_br
valrond Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Or if don't have use for buttons in joystick base, and want the features of "dry-clutch", Gunfither base + Kosmosima grip.Well, I looked at it yesterday and it isn't available in Europe, I can't even pre-order it. Only the grip but not the base. Enviado desde mi ALP-L09 mediante Tapatalk

Took me nearly a year to get mine, but it is soooo fine, no regrets =) Good things are worth waiting for lol OT from the new F-14 I've found the Tomcat's stick to be quite srange in function, with that weird hingey bit on the grip for roll. Fusedspine33 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 How about considering taking $50 deposits to ensure demand is met. I don’t care about waiting just that I can really acquire a set.
Simon1279 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 In simple explicit words: Do NOT expect to buy VKB grips with intention to make them work on a VPC base. This will most likely NOT happen. We are waiting for your feedback. Mine it's a sure: "yes i want it!" and: "i don't care about how much it does costs". With that said i've bought a full VPC set (throttle, base and grip) as an upgrade for my old worn system. I would have bought a VPC grip+base instead, but it's barely impossible to buy, even harder than buy VPC stuff. Please make a bundle F-14 grip + base and please make more than a few pieces, so everyone who wants it, can buy it. Regards. horus-DCS Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Now the Tomcat module has been released. I wonder how the grip production is going.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HAAUK Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Twist or no twist... as long as you make the stick, I will buy it... looking forward to a throttle quadrant too if there is
norbot Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) 1. No twist - makes the stick just more expensive. I think most (virtual) pilots here prefer pedals. 2. No Warthog compatibility. The Warthog gimbal is anything else than perfect... Edited April 9, 2019 by norbot
TORC Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 1) Don’t really care whether it has twist or not so long as I can lock it out. I guess the Warthog version wouldn’t have it though? 2) Yes to Warthog version. Do you use VR? Do you feel sad when you are just a dismbodied set of eyes floating in the cockpit? Check out my list of paid aircraft modules that support the visible virtual pilot body:
Straubinger82 Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Definitely my YES for a Twist-function. Without it, it will be a complete show-stopper for me!

HAAUK Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 i'm confused, i thought it was VBK making them tomcat sticks?

VampireNZ Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Is it going to be the new VirKpBil F-14 Tomcat grip? :dunno: Vampire
