Maybe I just double checked the S-3. Had the TACAN tuned and displaying. SA / DL working fine.

Log in, turn radar OFF, never get datalink. When deleting the TACAN, working fine.

Also, it seems I cannot turn off TACAN if D/L is on. If D/L off, I can turn TACAN off and on, but if I turn D/L on, it automatically turns TACAN on. Is this accurate behavior?

 

 

These were all with air starts, btw.

Testing different TACAN code.

I still can't get it to work properly. E2 is calling BRA targets but they do not appear on the SA. I did have a KC130 appear, but was not able to get a NCTR response from it, nor does the E2 appear on the SA (as per the instructional video as a circle with a dot).

 

Edit: Ok, so is it confirmed that D/L doesn't work if the tanker (S3) is set to 1Y.

Check the E2 has EPRLS activated.

Seems just activating EPRLS on E2/E3 in old missions isnt enough. You need to set a new AWACS

after enabling nctr, i put the cursor on the target on the radar screen and press depress but it just locks it. what am i doing it wrong? sa show them always yellow

NCTR isnt IFF. And you have to map a new command "sensor switch depress". And check IFF is ON on the UFC

I've done the recommend things. Replaced E2D in the mission files, setup my controls and added the new commands.. I am able to get mode 4 check now. Everything seems to work but I am still not seeing the E2 or any of its contacts. Also, when I deselect the various sensor options such as SURV etc I still see the contacts; including my own.

 

I've watched Wags video and this seem simple enough to operate so I'm stumped why is isn't work as per the video.
