Past couple nights I've started up the "Flogger Faceoff" mission. Here's the issue I'm having: after launching from the Stennis, heading north to the disabled freighter and taking up an orbit over it, the MiG-23s never show up. The first two times I stayed on station for 45 minutes or so. Last night I loaded up full on fuel (original mission parameters give you only about 4k pounds) and stayed over freighter for at over an hour. Still no MiGs to be found. Is there a trigger I'm missing? Thanks.

Me and my pilot had the same issue. Flew up to the ship, spotted a Hip, ended up shooting it down and got the good job message as well as a relief flight, but no Floggers, not even on the RWR or AWACS

Floggers show up in the mission file itself though.

They showed up for me. Surprised me with the long range missile they carry to.

Also can not get the Mission to work, checked also Mission File, Floggers are late activated, but either i miss something or the Trigger for late activation is missing.

Yep there is no trigger to activate the Flogger group.

Just uncheck the late activation and save the mission.

Glad I'm not the only one that was digging through the mission editor wondering what the trigger was for the Floggers. Two nights ago I tried it with the late activation unchecked and did it that way.

While you're at it you would probably want to put a realistic fuel load on board too, or just get a refuel on board before you leave.

Was Refueling on the S-3 Viking thats orbiting around the Ship, but after the AI refuse to Refuel here, he is pretty fast going for some deep dive Mission.

There is also a unused Trigger over the Floggers, seem's the Mission was not fully devloped after the S-3 rebellious action.

I tried that mission once, shot down the helicopter, got well done, then realized I didn't get a full fuel load and the tanker was orbiting pretty much next to the carrier instead of being closer to the mission area. No Floggers showed up.

But, what's worse, the wingman seems bugged. He starts moving first and then stops in front of me as his catapult shield gets raised in front of him so he just sits there and does nothing. I then have to take the furthest catapult position not to hit him when taking off.

Happens to me every time, though I didn't try moving first as the wingman starts moving within 10 seconds or so.

You mean in the actual sim, or where are the default mission is located so you can edit it? If the later is the case I believe it's in your actual DCS World Install folder under "Mods/aircrafts/F-14B/Missions". I would recommend copying a version to your saved games folder with the rest of your customized missions so you still have the original incase you break something accidentally.

Thanks. Looked everywhere else than there where it would obviously be

The mission with escorting the Bear has the same issues - no escorting, no Floggers from the briefing, just a success when you shoot down the bear.

Fix that too please if you have a moment... ;)

All the Heatblur missions and trainings are a little half cooked...

IIRC, something broke on the scripting side just before launch of the F-14. Hence why the Floggers don't trigger. We'll fix this (and take a look at beppe's version from above)

If you've seen Graywo1f's and Hellreigns' MP coop video of this mission, you can see that the floggers do show.

I fixed that too. Look here

In that mission the Floggers spawn is random (33%) so you might not see them.

I saw the helo pootling out towards the stranded tanker, but ignored him and thought I would go prod the enemy warship steaming towards our crippled friends by closing on him - which did provoke a multiple missile launch at my flight from the warship - and immediately sentenced their buddies in the helo to death!

Then limped directly back to the carrier at max fuel saving mode...and ran out of gas 1/2 a mile from the deck...

Note to self - crew chief is a moron and check my gas while on the carrier before heading out! A-A tanking was an option but had orders to make haste to the AO - peoples lives are at risk, I aint bumbling along behind no stinking tanker!

Regarding the 'Bear' mission - biggest anti-climax ever lol, pull up behind Bear, some blind tail gunner opens up in my general direction - bye bye Bear, back to carrier for tea and medals.
