I hope in a 1950 korea map. As a pay product It would not be so appealing, but as a free map It could raise interest on Sabre and mig-15 and boost their sales. I do not own them, but they would be at the top of my wishlist with a suited free map to fly with.

I'd love to see a Korea map. Its literally been a potential hotspot from 1950->today. Perfect DCS map. Plenty of ocean for carrier ops too. The only real question is what decade to pick to model, 1950 era Seoul vs modern Seoul is a major difference.

I think any other WWII aircraft in DCS will declass the I-16. The Bf 109 and the Fw 190 were introduced something like 3 - 7 years later. Fighting against those with the I-16 is close to suicide.

Could be a nice aircraft to fly around in single-player. But nothing more, in my opinion.

I understand your point of view, I know that for many people DCS is mostly a plaver vs player game, but there are many others for which DCS is mostly a flight simulator where we can experience different aircrafts and helicopters.

Unfortunately, ED doesnt provide statistics, but my seat of the pants feeling is that the second group is much larger than the first and that's fortunate, as it allows the existence of a much more varied assortment of aircrafts and helos than would be the case otherwise.

the years go by the technology advances maybe in the future we will have COMPLETE DCS WORLD with all the detailed world with MESH terrain very precise and we would also have real ATC TRAFFIC in real time with real time weather and night lights will be more real. play every nation on the net with the real forces without mixing Russian planes on the Italian skies and American airplanes on the Russian skies and have all the kind of armament available to defend their own nation.

maybe when this new technology comes out on every PC it will be easier to program the simulators, and DCS will already be out of date.

Am I the only one that would like to see the I.16 this year?

Nope, 'cuz I'm gonna get the Li'l Shorty the day she is released. Always loved that burdie to pieces so she'll be a 1st day buy for me.

A couple of updates ago while palyin' around in the mission editor i found a 2nd F-16 entry in the add-aircraft-section which said "F-16Cblock50" just next to the ai F-16. Similar to the two choosable F-18s in the dropdown menu. Since one or two updates the mentioned 2nd F-16 entry is gone again.

Maybe this was a little hint from ED?!

Did anyone else notice this?! (I wish i had taken a screenshot)

Seems more like this slipped into the public version by mistake and was corrected (removed) again. It must exist in the internal version, so they can use the F-16 for test flights.

I don't think so

ED makes these type of errors from time to time, so far these were meaningless.

depending on the nation, you will find all the F-16 versions in DCS. USA only has 2, check other F-16 user states to find the others, has been that way for a long time ;)

Oh yes, that was there since forever but I thought JumpinK has seen "F-16Cblock50" specifically which is not there normally.

With the FW-190 A-8 coming out, if I am interested in the FW-190 is it worth holding out for the A-8 or should I grab the D-9?

What version do you like more? For me it comes down to that question. As an example, the D-9 should be better at high altitudes AFAIK, but i like the A version more from the look, the big radial, and more cannons. ;)
