Frazer Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 VFAT 2007 Preliminary Registration Thread The “Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams” is something like RIAT or MAKS: a big airshow where virtual aerobatic teams and solo pilots can fly with each other and perform their displays in front of the Lock On community. LawnDart Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 WOW! 8 different teams of 6+ pilots already signed up to participate, all with ~40+ minute shows (not including takeoffs, landings of course). Counting off the top of my head, that should come out to roughly 7 hours of just formation flying teams SO FAR each day if every team were to fly all days... Granted I'm sure there will be different teams, different days depending on each teams availability during the day/weekend... but WOW! :shocking:  Definitely looking forward to some solo trials or other acts competing for remaining time slots now that the weekend is already jam-packed... :joystick: [sigpic]http://www.virtualthunderbirds.com/Signatures/sig_LD.jpg[/sigpic] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Corsair 750D Case | Corsair RM850i PSU | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X CODE | 32GB Corsair DDR4 3200 | Intel i7-8086K | Corsair Hydro H100i v2 Cooler | EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW | Oculus Rift | X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty | Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB NVMe | Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB | WD Caviar Black 2 x 1TB | TM HOTAS Warthog | TM Pendular Rudder | TM MFD Cougar Pack | 40" LG 1080p LED | Win10 |

Ells228 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 And a great mix of European and Stateside teams, so should work out well for the Euro/US time slots. The streaming camereman sure will be busy lol

LawnDart Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 @Kato, this might be early or the wrong place to ask, but by what date do you need everyone's .max file in order to put together the VFAT07 mod and test it? Laud Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 @Lawndart: I think we have to clarify first how's gonna fly on which server. So we would need 2 or 3 small mods instead of 1 big mod. It is of the belief by Kato that he can get everyone on the same mod, even with those who use the F-15s with different models. There is info on this, Laud, in the VTB thread regarding VFAT.
FWT Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Whats the spectator server details? And are soloists allowed to fly?
Frazer Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 Whats the spectator server details? And are soloists allowed to fly? Solo's are also welcome at the VFAT. There is info on this, Laud, in the VTB thread regarding VFAT. Maybe we should try to bring together the most important thoughts and ideas into the VFAT-forums to have one central location to talk about. The earlier the better, but I would guess no later that 4 weeks before the event, so mid October. There are always unforseen bugs to eliminate.
