Solved. i had to reload the Keyboard.diff.lua file. The last update gave me instant ctd and i solved that problem by resetting the controls, causing this issue..

So I think I cut too much, nothing seems to work properly. I have restored to a fresh profile, but cannot disable commands in batch. Is there any quick advice you have for making the F4 commands only the crew chief and jester? Sorry - hate to ask you to help undo all your hard work but these aspects are so good and the others conflict with my own profile.

Thank you for the OH-58D profile. 

I've had to change Barundus to George as my speech recognition struggled to recognise Barundus no matter how I pronounced it and prabably because I kept calling him George anyway.

Hey @Bailey Im trying to use your f4 and f14 profile.. but having jester issues. 

 

any command that is supposed to open the menu (hey jester, Jester, main menu, Jester tune assets, etc) just pops up the jester wheel and instantly closes it.  Its happening for the f4 and the f14.  I cant figure it out.  Ive imported your keybinds..seems every other command is working fine.. 

I did notice that the open main menu and hey jester command show 3 commands to close the menu.. is that correct?

nullbut i dont think it would impact the tune assets command.. since i think its supposed to just bring up the wheel with the list of assets?  thats what i assume anyways.

 

P.S. Upon testing some more i found that i can manually bring up the jester menu with the standard button.. but cant choose any options when voiceattack is running..  it closes the menu.  I checked my bindings, and I dont see anything conflicting.  its only doing it when voice attack is being used.

Do you or have you ever installed VAICOM? It is known to conflict with the wheel.

i have installed it, but have since removed it.. maybe i missed some of it somewhere.

 

..ive scoured my whole computer looking for viacom.. removed all the folders, removed the viacom line from export.lua.  still having the same issue..

Did you disable or remove the plug-in in VoiceAttack?

found one last viacom folder within the apps folder in voice attack.. and removed it.. now the plugin doesnt show in voice attack within plugin manager. ran another dcs repair,  but still cant get the jester menu to show.

@Bailey Am I understanding the Barundus VA profile correctly for AI, there are no keybinds in the VA profile, and thus by default there are no keybinds in DCS on the Kiowa, therefore I have to create bindings for dcs, then go to VA and mimic them in order for them to work? 

Anyone know of a drag and drop file or way to expidite this, in VR this takes me forever, and I have so many settings tweaked that I can't even get the game to launch outside vr anymore lol, no idea how to revert that for tuning settings like this haha.

I just tried out the F-4 profile and found out that some of Jester commands for operating the UHF radio (switching modes and settting preset com frequencies) don´t work because the keybinds in VoiceAttack profile commands differ from the DCS keybinds for the desired action. 

Is this because I didn´t load the Keyboard.diff.lua properly or because I use a German keyboard layout or did heatblur change someting with the last DCS update? 

Changing the keybinds works. Because it´s just a few commands it is not that much work. I was just wondering if I did somethimg wrong. when installing the profile.

 

In general all the important actions work great. I use it in VR just to communicate to Ground Crew and Jestter. It is a really great tool for immersion. The buttons and switches in the cockpit I prefer to operate by myself.

I have two questions...

1.  do your profiles support awacs and tanker calls ?  (Its the primary reason I use Viacom)
2.  Is there a way to configure VA to only listen to voice commands when I push a button ?   I don't want to broadcast, ie. my jester comms to an open discord channel

Has anybody updated the UH-1H profile to use the new keybinds? It seems like ED reversed a few of the +10/-10 tuning keybinds and did some other things that make the profile not-quite-useful (but so close! thanks for all the work, bailey!).

The problem with the UH-1H profile is that "increase" and "decrease" are reversed. As far as I can tell, this is a bug with the Huey keybindings in DCS, dating back to 2022 or earlier. Additionally, the key binding for "UHF Radio 1MHz Increase" is by default set to LCtrl-LShft-R, but does not work. 

The right way to fix it is to fix DCS. But I can't do that, and apparently they've not bothered after 2+ years. So attached is a "corrected" profile. You must redefine "UHF Radio 1MHz Increase" to be LCtrl-LShft-F. (If you choose something else, edit the "UHF Comm Tuning" action in the profile.)

Lastly, I fixed the FM Radio to only go up to 75.95 instead of 80.95. Not sure when this changed, but it's as far as the radio in the Huey will go. And I bumped the version to 1.01F (F is my first initial), just so we can tell them apart.

P.S. Remember to say "Reset Huey Frequencies". This is less necessary if you uncheck "Block Potentially Harmful Profile Actions" in the profile options.

Hi Bailey! 

I've been looking for a way to set up my Voice Attack with DCS without having to set up all the keybindings in DCS. And then I found your Hind profile which uses DCS-BIOS. I might be mistaken but it seems you only made one profile with DCS-BIOS integration.

Any reason for not continuing to use DCS-BIOS?

And any tips for how to find all those commands like you have in the Hind profile for other aircraft?
