SacredRaziel Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 We're not stakeholders. We don't have a 'share' of the company. We paid our money and received a product. That is the end of our involvement in the process. we are not shareholders. a stakeholder however is something different. basically an interested party. and in the proper analysis they are usually ranked. higher ranking for poeple with interest and involvment etc. since we are the customers we should be pretty far up the line when it comes to the product. as stated earlyer there is no obligation to inform us as there would be for shareholders, but its good practice.
Harlikwin Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 w as stated earlyer there is no obligation to inform us as there would be for shareholders, but its good practice. I think the type of information shareholders want is pretty different than the type of information stakeholders want anyway. For example I could care less about ED's financial picture which would be of great interest to shareholders. But as a stakeholder I care alot when I'm gonna get TWS on the hornet, or the next TPOD feature. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. skywalker22 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 (edited) One more, all this talking you guys do here, its a complete waste of time, no doubt about it. -- But what it can be done? Does here any one know some RL (real life) pilot using DCS? Possibly even driving the same aircraft. So only he can tell more about it. Maybe they could tell us more about how good and real DCS really is. No point in arguing here whats good and whats not. None of you have any clue how things really work in RL, sorry to say that. Because, where I come from (car sim racing), we have plenty of RL drivers using the game, and some of them are actually taking part on improving the game. Same could be with DCS. Great to read that. So, can they provide any data for aircrafts and/or missiles? Specially the Mig pilot. Would be find, but I dount they can talk about it publicly.
Tippis Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 We have requested light smoke for incapacitated / damaged units, to make it easier to spot damage to units. While you're at it, could you request more smoke/dust/debris in general? A lot of it comes down to performance issues, I'm sure, and smoke has always been a huge hassle to have in large amounts, but having proper smoke and dust plumes when stuff went “boom” (even if it was just a pile of dirt) would go a long way towards making weapons feel like they weren't just oddly painted fire-crackers. ;) ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. skywalker22 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Generally, military pilots will avoid talking about missiles and the likes, at least specifics. Besides, I am sure they cannot tell you much specifics either. They only use the equipment. For some data, you would have to turn on the factory which procudes it (aircrafts and missiles). But this is mission impossible I believe.
nighthawk2174 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Data is out there and a decent amount of it too (for the subject covered that is) it just takes some digging.
ED Team NineLine Posted August 30, 2019 ED Team Posted August 30, 2019 Data is out there and a decent amount of it too (for the subject covered that is) it just takes some digging. There is some, it shouldnt be suggested that there is data on every missile variant in the sim for accurate modelling of every aspect. If that was the case, pilots and such wouldn't be so shy in talking about them. But as I said, this shouldn't turn into another missile discussion, I will talk to the team when some vacations are over, and see if we can get an overall update. ED Team NineLine Posted August 30, 2019 ED Team Posted August 30, 2019 Rog, even with that sa10 flyout chart? I don't model the missiles, so I don't know all the documents they have. nighthawk2174 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Right as if that's the case that would worry me considering how far off the sa10 is from that flyout chart.

DucS2r Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 This is sort of my usual dumb post. I am mainly supportive of DCS, I am working on my J-82 bombing as I write this (autopilot). I have at times been critical and had the occasional post deleted, all my fault. But this has been a good discussion, with give and take but mainly civil discourse. Thanks, I think this has been good for we users and I hope it has been good for DCS. i9 14900, RTX 4090 24GB G DDR6X, 2x2 TB SSDs, 64GB Dual Channel DDR5 5200MT/s, Pimax Crystal Light
