Cali Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I did not notice the name of the base but there were some other nice Alaska shots. Nice shots Why would they transport it like that rather than just flying the thing to where-ever? I have no idea, maybe they are adding another static display Cali, Yes, that is Eielson AFB Grime, They fly like that because it is an inactive aircraft ( unflappable for what ever reason) EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska--The team working on the inactive A-10, winches the aircraft into the C-5 for transport to the Robbins AFB, Ga. Museum of Aviation Flight and Technology Center Oct. 6 on the flightline. The aircraft was disassembled into six different sections in three days. This was the first time that an A-10A has been dismantled at field level. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Brian Hibbert) I could tell by the trees in the background, I have been up and down that flightline many times. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

joey45 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 The Yak-130 looks cute. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. mikoyan Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 this is an old interesting video; it shows an su-35 doing a tail slide and a cobra loaded with weapons; the roll rate are also impressive! So the flanker is not such a turkey wen loaded with weapons after all.
Vekkinho Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 (edited) Yeah it rolls faster than clean Su-27 in FC2... EDIT: ...or my axis setting is too curved. Edited November 25, 2011 by Vekkinho [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
