Boneski Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 How to commit financial suicide in three easy steps... 1, Totally ignore the majority of your customers demands, instead give them what you think they want. 2, Dictate to your customers YOUR plans and YOUR targets whilst being totally incapable of listening or communicating with your customers. 3, Refuse to fix a deffective product promptly that you've already sold to your customers, instead make a fix when you have enough "time" to and charge them for it. I have a hunch that the decision to launch DCS:BS with a single flyable heli and no fast movers is going to come back and bite ED's butt. DCS:BS is going to get very boring very quickly unless your a die hard heli sim fan, it makes me laugh to have just watched ED outcast 90% of the LO community. Lets hope for ED's sake that there is a bigger heli fan base than there is for current fast movers. I also hope for the ppl who purchase this crud that you wont have to purchase every flyable as well as use a totally unfreindly and offensive concept of product activation to activate each flyable! let alone being forced to purchase all flyables just to be able to fly MP!. "Talk with your wallet ppl", Dont buy BS untill your supplier meets your demands, remeber your the customer here, not ED. DUDE you have to understand that YOU are a small part of the "customers" base... ED has treated it's fans very well. But the Big fish are the Military Contracts... Sorry to break that to you... A $35 Toy game in a box vs a $35,000 - $70,000 per unit High Fidelity Training Device for active Fighter Squadrons.. ummm that's a customer worth going after... All of a sudden their are rumbles about Black Shark being Boring and Sh@t like that... what the heck folks? Umm Back in the day... Meaning yesterday.... Sims only had one player controlled aircraft... remember that? Remember when people would say that Lock On is not a true study sim it has more then one jet in it... Now that you have been spoiled by the great work from this group and their multi aircraft product some can't see pass the past! It's funny to read some of this stuff... Pure comedy! This by far is going to be the most detail sim to hit the game market since FLY! This may be the most system detailed combat sim ever. It's the ground work for things most of the community has been asking for... From the reading it's pretty hard core. Seems like a lot of wish list items are in there.... So why are some so bent? Is it because you did not get your personal fav Jet or missile in the game.. So trash it before it even hit's the market? Too bad for those that are doing that... You can diss it all you want.. It is what it is... all the b!thing in the world is not going to change it. ED should not go back to the OLD Lock ON code to fix none show stopper bugs... the game is stable it runs well and it's been out for years! For the most part it does eveything it claims to do. Why waste time on a patch when they have something pretty cool in the pipeline? My mission is to fly, fight, and win. o-:|:-o What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.

Technology and declassified info, time restrints and other military obligations play a big part in game creation. Starforce causes me no major problems. I can understand the fear but I dont think it has much merit.
