Kappi Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) Hey all, Since today's update when starting up the Tomcat I can't disconnect ground air or external power when the engines are running. The ground crew says "Can't do - idle your engines" But the engines are in idle. No chance to rearm or refuel either. Anybody else with this problem? Edit: Tested all the jets, except the Tomcat all others can rearm and refuel while idling. So I guess this is a Tomcat specific bug. Please find attached trk-file. Thanks!F-14 - Ground crew no comply in idle.trk Edited February 17, 2020 by IronMike ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!
atsugi Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) yes I too have the issue, engines are idling at 700 rpm if this helps, reverting now to check rpm speed of past updates. edit: the old version (2.5.5) works fine rpm's are the same but able to rearm and refuel. fat creason Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 We haven't changed anything regarding that and ED has not informed us of any changes to how rearming works. We'll look into it. Systems Engineer & FM Modeler Heatblur Simulations
Cizzle Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I noticed this issue as well. Hopefully the HB team will find the root cause soon! JOINT TASK FORCE-ONE XO, VF-2 "Bounty Hunters"
Swordfish Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Just to add for in MP. When landing to rearm after a sortie, I shut down engines, rearm. Ask ground crew to turn on ground power and airsupply. Ground power comes on. airsupply does not work so cannot restart my engines. Have to reslot to rearm.
Swordfish Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Cannot reapply ground airsupply after a flight (MP) When landing to rearm after a sortie, I shut down engines, rearm (due to current situation of having to shutdown to rearm- poster elsewhere). Ask ground crew to turn on ground power and airsupply. Ground power comes on. airsupply does not work so cannot restart my engines. Have to reslot to rearm. edit: just tested in SP - same problem. If I shut down engines after a flight, Ground airsupply does not work and cannot restart engines Edited February 15, 2020 by Swordfish

grant977 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I can’t even open the coms menue to contact the ground crew
Solidsnakekillsu Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Ground crew wont respond because they say the engines aren't at idle so I cant rearm and I cant shut off ground power when cold starting Don't worry I think its on ED end because its doing it with more than just the tomcat Edited February 15, 2020 by Solidsnakekillsu

Because I tested it with F-18, F-16 and Mirage and all 3 worked fine on my side. Strange... ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!
launchedsquid Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I found the same problems, when rearming the ground crew complaining that the engines aren't idling, when refueling the ground crew complain that there is no fuel in stock, on the F-14, A-10C, AV-8B, so that has to be an ED thing right? Three modules from 3 devs?

Three modules from 3 devs? It is probably related to the new comms structure being added for the supercarrier. laxentis Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Really? Because I tested it with F-18, F-16 and Mirage and all 3 worked fine on my side. Strange... I've had it happen in C-101. Pretty sure it's either a DCS bug or undocumented feature released too soon.
Mugatu Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 same for me on the F-14B affects rearm, electric power and ground air supply. Just hooked up my T.16000 and was going nuts thinking it was the throttle curves. :-/

ship_killer Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 I’ve had the same happen to me in the Viggen as well, so it is probably something new in 2.5.6. After a cold start I also can’t get the Tomcat of the flight deck, I’ve hooked up to the catapult, and LShift+U, but nothing. Maybe because the external connections are still enabled?

tn_prvteye Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 They also won't turn on ground power or air supply if the Carrier is turning. Before 2.5.6 they would.
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I got this in the Tomkitty and the Chicken-butt. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
Badger1-1 Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Someone would think they check these things before releasing a patch...on a friday :D

Tinkickef Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Agree!!!! Plane Captain refuse to remove ground support makes taxi and take-off impossible! Nah. I just drag the power and air carts round the taxiways. By the time I reach rotate speed on the runway, they have usually fallen off. The chief just yells " Hey waddayadoing" and slinks away to fill out several reams of government forms in triplicate. And Jester darkly warns that the boss is gonna have my butt for this. Otherwise, it's all good. :) System spec: i9 9900K, Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Ultra motherboard, 32Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 RAM, Corsair M.2 NVMe 1Tb Boot SSD. Seagate 1Tb Hybrid mass storage SSD. Yeah, indeed! Reluctant to do so for a little respect to regulation and the new patch lefted us no choice but just do it.
