[REPORTED]Engine sounds issues in OB v2.5.6.43503.

I hope BTD notices this one...

It seems the latest OB update, version number 2.5.6.43503, affected not only startup procedure for 109, but its engine sounds as well:

a) high-rpm propeller noise sample intended for external view, now plays quite loud in cockpit view as well. Much louder than in previous game version. I'm not sure, however, it it's intended, or a bug;

b) when rotating head 90 degrees in cockpit view, one can hear constant playback of 13 mm machine gun sample, coming from direction of the tail. This I'm sure is not intended :D.

Both easy to reproduce just by flying around with cruise-and-above power settings plus rotating head sideways.

Cheers,

b) - fixed. Let's wait for updates

As for a) - I'm working on new sounds for BF right now. So...let's wait for new sounds and then we'll check it again :)

Thanks for your report

In the meantime there's a mod with a nice engine sound for the 109.....

I know, and kudos to 5tuka for creating it, but it used to affect other planes as well (shared files), that's why I got tired of using it eventually (exiting the game, disabling it, loading the game again whenever I wanted to fly something different got tedious after a while).

Besides, If BTD's work on 109 ends up anywhere close to his recent work on Mustang and Spit, I think we won't need mods anymore. Let's wait and see.

S!

Latest OB 2.5.6.43931 sound issue in cockpit. Turn your head and you hear a sound that sounds like a flapping sound or a chopper. Nothing heard when looking forward, but gradually increases while turning head to either side.

^ It's the issue I reported in original post. It seems the fix hasn't made it to the latest Open Beta build yet.
