I v ordered the supercarriers since around 2 weeks now, i am on the 2.5.5 but my order is not in the game yet

2.5.5 is the current stable versionj and 2.5.6 is the current open beta. you can get the current OB here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/beta/ and when the OB update happens on the 20th you will be ready to go. as it stands now you wont have the SC unless you are running the open beta. it is possible to have both on your computer. just install from the link above.

Ok I'm confused... I have the 2.5 stable version of DCS for 3 months now I have 3 mods. Shouldn't I be getting auto updates? I don't do the open beta version but when the SC comes out I'm not going to be able to purchase/play it?

You can purchase it but you need Open Beta if you want to play it on the 20th, otherwise you can stay on stable and wait a bit before it gets released there.

Yes, just download and install into your OB copy of DCS.

The stable release gets updates a lot less frequently than the OB. It will be some time before SC is release to stable. You can have both versions installed and you can bring your mods over as well.

Is this ED's testers for the carrier?

Does ED use individual testers or selected groups or both? I mean for 'real' systematic testing.

My understanding is there are some very good testers from good wings, but I'm sorry these GR guys should not be testing something and making a joke of something that has been delayed a few times and folks are not very happy about.

Their style doesn't appeal to me either, but clearly it does to their subscribers. Since they've got twice as many subscribers than Wags alone, it makes sense to give them a copy, even if you or I aren't keen.

Regarding the closed beta testing.

 

We have 30 testers from various groups and individuals with various skill levels.

 

It has been a great help during the run up to the super carrier release and testing is still happening.

 

Early access launch is planned for the 20th of May
