Fonz_408 Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 When do you tell flight to kiss off, I've been doing it, on the up wind as I fly over boat but my wing man keeps diving into the sea? Bluecat Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 So when we enter the Case 1 holding stack above the carrier, we do that as a flight group? And then we leave the stack and fly the approach with the flight group until the break? Is that right? I had assumed that we were solo (to maintain separation) as we entered the stack and all the way through the remainder of the pattern.
BMGZ06 Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Ya the Kiss off never works for me either. I have to tell the dude to go to the tanker so he doesn't fly into me in the groove which already happened twice and then another time I landed and he was right up my trumpet and crashed into the back of me.lol System Specs: 13900K, Strix Z790 Gaming E, MSI 4090 Sprim Liquid X OC'd, 64gb Gskill Trident Z DDR5, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 SSD,. pete_auau Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 (edited) So when we enter the Case 1 holding stack above the carrier, we do that as a flight group? And then we leave the stack and fly the approach with the flight group until the break? Is that right? At this point, the next communication will be with the LSO at ¾ mile behind the carrier. The flight will depart holding from outside point 3 and descend to 800 feet. An arcing turn will be flown to the initial point 3nm astern of the ship. The flight will continue inbound and fly just outboard the starboard side of the ship at 800 feet, paralleling BRC. The radio command ‘KISS OFF’ should be given to your flight and the landing pattern should be entered from the manual Edited May 22, 2020 by pete_auau
Fonz_408 Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 Ok well my wing man is now sick of swimming and is now flying up wing more after I break and he lands about 20-30secs after me, I hit kiss off right before 1 break at 1.0nm on the up wind Acer Predator 500 Laptop i7 8750 @ 3.9MHz /16GB DD4 / GTX1070 / 256 SSD Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3FtEcJlj_34i3IVqx6pE_w?view_as=subscriber

The stack isn't the pattern (I think) telling them to kiss off just before you break left is supposed to make them also break but LATER so they keep their distance with each wing man breaking later than the one before . Its all in the manual
JumpinK Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 I thought this was just me, but, I will bug this now. Same problem here. Is there anything to be aware of when giving the command via the communicatins-menu? Or is it just not possible because of AI-dumbness? "Landing on the ship during the daytime is like sex, it's either good or it's great. Landing on the ship at night is like a trip to the dentist, you may get away with no pain, but you just don't feel comfortable" — LCDR Thomas Quinn, USN.

I use the communication menu kiss off just after i break over the carrier, than they will break in order
fmedges Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 It’s a problem I’ve noticed too. I have a track showing the issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Allied Air Command Website | Allied Air Command Discord

dmatt76 Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Maybe you used Marshall frequency not the flight freq? Or do you use easy comms?
speed-of-heat Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Nope COMMS channel was correct, and whilst I am crap it happens with a consistency that suggests it’s not entirely me SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
