Has anyone heard or seen any news on the flatdeck release supposingly this week? I'm working on a model for release with the carrier. If it's delayed i would like to know. I asked how they got it and they said they never downloaded it. and that its either a bug or it came with the rafale Jet Pack. Any Ideas.???? So i have been working behind the scenes to get an escort up and running for the Forrestal Release. USS Bowen FF-1079. The 2nd ship i was stationed aboard from 1989 - 1992. I was going to say, the only time I ever heard the term flat deck was when someone was talking about the old WWII carriers that did not get their flight decks changed to an angle flight desk but turned into Landing Platform Helicopter “LPH". We called the big carriers "bird farms" & submariners "Bubble Heads" in return they just call us "targets" instead of greyhounds or tin cans. (******* and ******* useless ! ... I knew you would want to know !!). Young naval midshipmen were always addressed thus "Get out of my f**cking way" ... ... or more commonly - Snotty's. Woe betide any young snotty who tried to fight back !!! Happy days. PS: We (Bootnecks) had a whole heap of respect for the FAA, but what would life at sea be like without a bit of piss taking. PPSS: My best retort to one young snotty who demanded I address his as Sir because he was an Officer went along the lines "Mishipman isnt a rank, its a ****ing appointment, and your still in my ******* way".
