Mission editor help please

Hi, I made myself a training mission that I now wish to change. I want to select some of the planes I placed within the mission, to edit them, but find I am unable to click on them to select them. If I choose add or modify an aircraft from the left hand side menu, all this lets me do isi to place a new unit......how do I select previously placed units and edit them?

when in ME make sure the EDIT button is clicked. then pick the aircraft.

I was having similair issue on the Syria map. I could select something but wouldn't let me move it around once placed.

Actually it would be just the reverse, wouldn’t it? Select the aircraft in question by left-clicking it or one of its waypoints. Next be sure that “edit” is selected in its menu (though it always is, when you first select the aircraft you want to edit).

 

“Edit” allows you to move existing waypoints, change the aircraft’s fuel, weapons, paint scheme, etc. If you want to add waypoints, select “add“. “Delete” to delete waypoints (I think that’s correct). So much of this I do on autopilot not really paying attention to what my hand is doing.

 

EDIT: Just re-read your post and realized that you know to click on the aircraft. So you probably know the rest as well. Yours not an issue that I’ve run across myself.

Hi, which edit button? There is an edit button on the top bar, that gives you a drop down, but the only options there are to add or remove aircraft etc. I can’t click on on any of my previously placed planes or ships etc to select them.....

 

I know there is an edit button for each entity you place, while you are placing etc. but once placed

I can’t select them again......

 

Is this a bug in my mission or am I missing something?

One the left toolbar, click the triangle, diamond, and square icon just above the red X.

Find the object and then click Edit from right side panel.

That was the thing I needed, thanks......as you say, not very intuitive!
