I don't think there will be playable demo until final release.

Why to pay for my impatience? :)

It pays to wait ;)

Building a demo means you have to get one version of beta, wrap it up into a somewhat finished status and providing it in a downloadable size. A lot of work for an old beta at the time you'd get it and the final has to be pushed back, because the team needs to split up.

I can live without the demo, but I'd hate to wait another year for the release, while playing a limited and bugged demo I even played for.

I wouldn't want a demo personally..I'd prefer to wait for the full game and get it a few weeks / months earlier (the few weeks / months that it would take to build and test a general release demo).

I've seen more than enough to convince me that this is a definate A1++ must buy...

Hehe, not surprised that the No's are winning here. ;)

I voted yes, but of course it would depend upon the cost. I could see plopping down five bucks for a demo that allowed only flight (no combat or weapons) and had no supporting documentation (which just might be a disaster). Anything over $5.00 wouldn't be worth it to me.

EDIT: On second thought, having the Ka-50 without all the documentation and knowledge to absorb would be horrid, boring, and a total spoiler. Can I change my vote to no?

Easy with the toking and sitting behind your pc, bud. :D

Paying for a demo? Why not call it 'Black Shark Lite', then add a home edition, then a corporate edition, then a tablet pc version, and so on and so forth :P

I think the a demo would just depress me. Because it would show me very clearly the game/ simulation I can not play and I still would have to wait for the actual game. Hell we have all being waiting to what, 2 years now? Three? Might as well wait until ED is ready and I can buy the full version. Beside If I would get the demo with actual flight model, ect. I would only spend the time trying to learn how not to crash. By the time I learn that the actual game would come out and I might have to learn different things. Might as well learn it all in the actual game. I guess the first thing to learn DCS BS is patience. I think I will need it trying to learn all those avionics and flight characteristics.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Yeah but what if a full, almost bug-free version would take, roughly, another ten years. Yeah. I'll pay for a demo or to beta test or pay beta tester for a copy. Any beta tester wants 155 baht? That's 5 usd, yo!

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Demo? Negative! How would that work?

The poll is out of the blue but the idea of BS and DCS isn't.

And here is an idea: flaping the plaps loudly for some one to like is not enough.

What the hell are plaps? Or you trying to say 'the clap'? I didn't know flapping it can make it talk.

I don’t know what the plaps is or what the hell is that, for what I know I did loose the commonsense for this thread and the means for an adequate reply then but what sort of flapping did you find to talk?

I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

I'd like to have a basic flyable demo. But I won't pay for it. Demos are free. Back to the 1990s, id Software releaseed its DOOM/Quake as freeware then they spreaded to the whole world then everybody who loved that games payed for the complete version.
