Feuerfalke Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 It would rather interest me, if the complete procedure of deployment is animated? It sure looks like it. :surprise: MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD

Feuerfalke Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 What I really like to see is a BS that is as bugfree as possible. I know there is no such thing as a bugfree software, but at least they can try ;) MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD
Avimimus Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I don't know about that. I like crickets, cicadas or mosquitoes droning in the background should I open the canopy.
Vekkinho Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Yeah, mosquito smudges in the HUD! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Someone from thesters....please enlight us.... I would say YES! You can see the infantry moving and dying in GAs movie: "EDGE". They will not behave like in ArmA, but they will have simple animations and they can shoot at you! Great pics! I like the new trees also. Weta43 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 They've made those buildings in the background look a lot nicer too, which is good, because we'll be seeing a lot more of them in the future... PS - ED & The tseters have said quite a few times now that infantry WILL be included in the DCS.BS reslease. Cheers.
ED Team Wags Posted April 19, 2008 ED Team Posted April 19, 2008 Yes, there will be animated leg units in DCS:BS, but please understand that functionality is quite limited at this time. Don't expect a detailed infantry simulation. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544

Canada Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Untrue? I don't quite understand your questioning. The gentleman said that DCS:BS will be released in 2008, if it gets released in 2009, he will become a... well, for lack of a nicer word, a liar. Hence the word: "untrue". What I meant is that I'm having difficulties picturing Bill Gates sipping a Starbucks with Steve Jobs saying "Windows 7 will definitely be published next week" and then we'd wait 'till 2010. Helicopters fly.
EvilBivol-1 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 ...or he could just become someone who made a mistake. We wouldn't call you a liar for calling him a liar if the game does come out in 2008, would we? P.S. The current official release estimate remains 2008. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Woodstock Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I remember Jim on LLTM mumbling something like he would be quite busy in the coming September...:music_whistling: ... though he didn´t elaborate whether this was due to some release date or because of him then desperately searching for excuses why it will be somewhen next year... :pilotfly: My, what a memorable weekend LLTM2008 was...! And largely so thanks to Jim, Groove, Urze and their whole BS team. Great insights! BTW, I recall there was a "post your estimated BS release date" competition-thread on our forums a long time ago. Whoever gets it right or closest wins... I think I said it would be May 2006, but anyways, what are two and a half years when you got friends like my squadmates and a community like you madmen!?! Cheers! "For aviators like us, the sky is not the limit - it's our home!"
